PFF General Secretary Atty. Ed Gastanes today announced that the National Men’s “A” Team will play an international friendly match against the National Men’s “A” Team of Maldives on 3 September 2015 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Kick off is at 8pm. Necessary authorizations from FIFA and AFC are now being secured. Game ticket information will be announced on Monday, 17 August 2015. pff.org.ph/2015/08/14/phivsmaldivessept3/This will be the third meeting between the two sides, the last time being a pulsating semifinal match in the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup. The Azkals won that match, 3-2 after extra time. Goals from Phil Younghusband, Jerry Lucena, and Chris Greatwich, who scored the winner in extra time, lifted the Philippines to its first ever AFC Challenge Cup Final. The first meeting between the two teams was in the 2010 AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers in 2009. Maldives defeated the Philippines by the same scoreline. Former national team skipper Aly Borromeo and Chad Gould scored for the Azkals. football.com.ph/philippines-to-face-maldives-on-september-3/

Any info on tickets for this game? I already got my sep 8 tickets. Would be nice to catch the Maldives game live as well. See if that guy Ali Ashfaq is still for real.. he wreaked havoc last time we played Maldives.

What's our line up for this one? Ramsay i believe is in the country already and etheridge and palla is coming. But what about the others? Shrock? Patino? Muller? When will they arrive? I havent heard from them.

Ramsey is here, he was on Hans Smit's show.... Thomas Dooley was also on and he said that Patino and I think Muller would miss this game as they are only arriving about 2 days before the Uzbekistan game... I think Schrock may miss this game as well... Etheridge played for Walsall on Saturday (and kept another clean sheet!) so he won't be able to arrive in time... I think this game would be a good chance to give Badelic some minutes in goal but Dooley was saying that he won't play, he's just in the squad for experience...

Among the overseas-based players who joined training at PSS yesterday was winger Iain Ramsay. Jerry Lucena was expected to arrive last night, while Neil Etheridge, Roland Muller and Kevin Ingreso are arriving today. Stephan Schrock planes in on Tuesday, with Javier Patino and Stephan Palla arriving the next day. Luke Woodland will plane in on Sept. 6 as he is on trial with US Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls. sports.inquirer.net/191408/azkals-face-toughest-test-yet-in-uzbeks#ixzz3kJcktSttIt looks like Patino, Palla, Woodland and possibly Schrock(if he is still recovering from jetlag) won't make it for the Maldives friendly. Good luck to Woodland during his trial with the New York Red Bulls. My guess is either Muller or Etheridge will want to play in the Maldives friendly as the other will play against Uzbekistan.

Since most of our starters are arriving late, I just hope that coach Dooley will give Kevin Ingreso a nod to start in this game. I would really love to see his quality. I didn't have the oppurtunity to assess him before because he only played the yemen game at "garbage" time really and he barely touched the ball.

This guy has quality and im wondering why coach dooley has not yet utilizing his talent. Is it a secret weapon against stronger team? If he will be starting againts maldives, who will he be replacing or what position will he be playing? I believe he is an attacking midfield correct?
