Wiking,
I just wondered how come you are not reporting on Iain Ramsay regularly. I know he has not yet committed to the Azkals but he is still considering joining them if he is not called up by the Aussies. He is doing quite well with his team Adelaide United which by the way has been very competitive in the Asian Champions League, the highest level of club soccer in Asia.

cjeagle,
Well, in the beginning I copied jpmanahan's format; only putting "capped" players(or uncapped but in/has been, in the senior player pool) in the report, except for Kevin Ingreso of course, because you and some other members requested to include him previously. I don't mind really, I think he'll be an Azkal someday. But, so not to clutter the this particular thread with other random uncapped player, perhaps we can put their report in their "eligible player" thread?
faridoon has been doing great with updates on these youth/eligible player reports. Maybe we can ask him if he wan't to do it "officially"?
Btw, I really never paid mind to IR but since faridoon has been putting his match reports, and other members mentioning him, I can't but compare him to our other "elite" members like Stephan, Cagara, Lucena, Neil and Paul Mulders. That kid does looks like a game changer, I do hope Australia passes him over.

Speaking of Neil, any updates to his current injury? Last I heard, he was expected to be sidelined for 3-5 weeks. I can't access twitter here in my part of the world. Hungarian goalkeeper Csaba Somogyi is currently the goalie for the reserve team, a place which Neil usually is in charge of. Somogyi's contract is supposed to expire by the end of the season, but with the reserve team's recent success and Neil's injury, it looks like Martin Jol might renew Somogyi's contract.

Understood Wiking. Iain and his club has just been doing well lately. I just hope he doesn't do too well that he attracts the attention of the Aussie or Scottish national teams.

You can always check the Physio Room thread for injury and availability updates. In Neil's recent tweets, he's doing fine with his recovery and will definitely return in May. I'm hopeful Neil would still be the main GK for the reserves next season, but with Somogyi's performance so far, I'm now in doubt. If Neil goes down in Fulham's GK chart, it will be less playing time for him for the club, yet will be more available for international duty.

Recently, Jol has been putting a lot of effort in letting the younger players start or sub in during games. The likes of Kacanilik and Kerim Frei, showing signs of class in recent games is surely a good sign. Somogyi, despite being decent, is not exactly a "youth" player (he will be turning 27 tomorrow). Fulham already has a good 2nd GK in the form of David Stockdale (26 years old). Combine that with the Fact the Somogyi's contract will be finished by the end of the season and Jol's plan on bringing down the average age of the squad.
I think if Neil recovers quickly (and stays healthy) he will have a good chance of being the reserve squad's main GK while at the same time, keeping his #3 spot as the Fulham's goalie. This position allows Neil to be easily available for national duty, while at the same time, get some play time for the reserve team.

In addition, Jol brought the Hungarian in as one of his guys. Had Schwarzer not gotten injured, he would have had the reserve team action all to himself and Neil elevated to chief backup, not having to recall David from his Ipswich loan.
