All the success has gotten the best of him... someone should tell chieffy if it wasn't for the Fil-fors our football would still be whipping boys of SEA... thanks for foreign base fil, but the question still looms do we really need to use this program? or do we need to improve the training, youth development and NT selection? ...this is what I understand to what caligdong sentiments...and some of it maybe an ego that he can score amidst of talented foreign base fil.

Ok with regards to Chieffy's interview with Jessica Soho, yeah in fairness to Media, the media seemed to sensationalize/make a big deal out of it since Chieffy's remarks will kinda get media's attention. Should he have given simple, unassuming, yet correct statements then I think Jessice wouldn't have digged in for more "juicy scoops" out of him. You cannot blame Chieffy nor any player on the other hand. You cannot blame him for spilling out something which is unnecessary. I n my opinion, this media ruckus would have never occur if the Azkal management had a PR officer. Someone who's savvy enough to speak in front of the media in behalf of the team. Someone wiho will "coach" the coaches and players in how to answer issues in front of the media in a tactical manner. That's why corporations, famous celebrities, even government departments hire good PR officers. They're paid for their communication skills and evade media traps But on the same time they make sure the media, in return, can get the scoop they want without the need for disclosing everything his Client wishes not be get publicized. agree with you.....interviewing a person who does not have a fair share of glitter can make a person nervous, plus the hype of the win and a sort of fatigue......ika nga indi sanay ...hehehe ingat na lang siguro sa sunod para walang maooffend.....

Ok here it is... what is racist in Caligdongs statement? He said hes pure pinoy, while his team mates, mainly the European based PINOYS are Europeans daw. Pure blooded pa nga daw sya which is a very strong term. Ok so you are from the Visayas and maybe you have never been to another country where thngs like these would be perceived as racist. In the Philippines its ok to make fun of Aetas and no one would call you a racist. They make fun of black people and its still not racist. Do that in another country and Im pretty sure you will get a black eye or be reprimanded openly. Did you know that the Euro based Pinoys asked the media not to refer to them as Fil-Foreign? so whats wrong that? how can you differentiate between here and the foreign base athletes in lay man term? And technically if there are filipinos look at there passport. for clarification im not against with the foreign base....it is just the way people react on the interview....... yes im a visayan but i already went to USA, singapore, hongkong and thailand (job training oppurtunities), and i have a fair share of insult from the other race and the worst part (though very few but not majority) I encounter insult from the foreign based pinoys. (but off course it is the other part of the story, just an info for you) for me in my understanding he is just implying the importance of the locals in any sports that's all.

Im also a bit concerned how the media is hyping up Chieffy Caligdong. Hes not that good to begin with and both of his goals were lucky. He cannot even score a goal in the AFC Challenge Cup where he was most ballhog. Hes only toned down now because of a closed door reprimand by the coach. Its bad that young football aspirants will want to emulate Chieffy. They should emulate work horses like James Younghusband and Angel Guirado. Look up to them, not at Chieffy. Lets see him try to get one past the keeper against Kuwait. And if he really thinks hes good, why doesnt he go to Europe and try out with 3rd division teams. sorry brod...you commented that interview of chiefy is racist and you sound racist to your fellowmen and how come that chiefy is ballhog, what about the other player like guirado he force his attack in 1st leg, PYH solo attacks (though seldomly), i dont understand why you trying to put the guy down.....ah alam ko na basta stae side magaling..... i dont understand some of the guys here.........again as i said on the other discussion please explain.......

They all (Ian, Chieffy, Phil, Angel and JYH) have their own shares of "pang-bwaballhog", but the most obvious and ruined Coach's game-plan was Ian. I am purely speculating but taking context from Chieffy's interview, he was a bit protective about the homegrown playing time, specifically Ian. Judging from the reactions of the players (specially JYH), they are really complaining about Ian's eagerness to goal neglecting to pass (since before he scored against Bangladesh). Maybe that's the reason why Weiss chose Nate to come-in first before Araneta on the first leg. agree with you...

Also, Caligdong seems to have trouble expressing himself. Airs out dirty laundry in the media (watch Jessica Soho's interview), uses racist terms (pure pinoy vs Europeans), regards his team mates as Europeans and not Pinoy. If anything he also looks after the welfare of his kababayans from Barotac. Now tell me, will he make a good captain? whats wrong with chieffy's interview??? he just only stating what in his mind at tama naman, oo pilipino.......but the reality is there, there are gap between the foriegn base players at sa local players.....he just only stating that players train locally can match up....laliman lang siguro pagkaintindi para samin sa visayas maganda sinabi nya para sa development ng locals para mainganyo ang mga bata maglaro ng football....looking sa welfair of the football sa barotac is not bad (even im from negros)...for my understanding he wants to develop more the skill of iloilo.whats wrong with that......... and Racist anu racist doon sa statement nya??? can you explain maybe ill change my view. And to be a captain, for me he is fit...experience wise sa national team is fit for him.

oo masipag si james. si guirado sobrang sipag din. phil wag mo sayangin ang energy ng tuna! mag sipag mode ka rin nga! aanhin mo energy ng tuna kung tamad ka! hehe, maybe he's reserving his energy for his angel....lol hehehehehehe........ as per the run and gun play of iloilo still it works as they were the champion of the under 19.....but I still dont understand why Araneta force himself to play that way....

Nice idea, PFF could send the under 23, under 19 and under 17 squad for training. And so as the coaches from the provinces to enhance the coaching skills.

as expected, because of there short real practice session together.......anyways this is there jelling period....hope that they practice together earlier as in 3 months earlier....
the key is to continue practice, explore more offensive and defensive tactics, team chemistry with or without the prime players........explore other players on the formation even if it is foreign base or local players.....

2018 WC is possible if they start now.....training from the under 19 and 23 with reinforcement of foreign base players that they will stay in phl for good. training for tactical and individual skills, team plays, team chemistry from the international coaches.......3 times a week until the 2018 WC qualification started. this i believe phl football can reach the dream.......the dream of palami is good and slowly but surely PFF is on the right track.

Wenden, PFF is letting Weiss handle the U23 team so we could look at this as an indication that there will be continuity there and integration between the two levels. This will ease the transition of the U23 players when they get picked to play with the Senior team. Hopefully, PFF's technical committee is in close consultations with Weiss and his staff so that training and development down the line (U19, U17, etc.) is tailored to benefit the national teams and ensure that young local and homegrown players have the necessary ability, technique and skills to play the Azkal way. it is good plan however it will be hard to weiss to handle both teams....and as what palami did in hiring a new coach to oversee the under 23 ...it is a good move......for me it is a good idea that there will be a coach for the lower age group and weiss will serve as a consultant. and as you hope and i also hope that there will be a close consultation for the lower years for future football program....
