I vote for Rizal as well but if it isn't safe then it shouldn't be there. Especially since there's a good chance that we'd fill the stadium. It's an old facility, survived WWII, I believe. I hate to say it but it may be time to tear it down and build a new one in its place. And with the Azkals history with earthquakes, well... tearing it down is not easy because it is more than 50 years old and i think it is consider a heritage, however if it will be a hazard or the renovation and upgrade of the RMS is not feasible then i agree with your suggestion to tore it down and rebuild a new and better one.

Dalawa kasi ang Stadium sa Bacolod na ang football pitch are with international standards ..... the now famous Panaad (which in our dialect means "Promise") at yung lumang stadium namin na Paglaum (meaning "Hope") which is a 2 grandstand complex before so actually almost same capacity and "Age" ng Rizal Memorial kaso pina demolish na ang 1st stand (made of wood pa kasi hahhaha) .... Bakit naging international standards yung dalawang field dun? Sabi kasi ng contractor na friend ko nung pina repair provincial government yung dalawang pitch may multiple drainage system pala yan ang football pitch para kahit umulan ng todo puedeng maglaro ..... tapos lalagyan ng foam matting para maging flat ang field bago nilagyan ng lupa at tinaniman ng damo also to maintain the water level for good grass condition. hambala pa mig.....sana tuloy2 na kasikatan ng football sa pinas...next stop cebu or davao ang maghohost ng international games....kaya sa mga local government build or renovate the football stadium.....

if the congressman is true to their word, hope that they will support their respective area for respective stadium for me
20K - 30K seating is feasible for the cities of Ormoc, Gen San, Zamboanga, dumaguete, baguio, san fernando (pampanga), RMC....
30K - 40K seating capacity for the cities of iloilo, bacolod, cebu, davao, cagayan de oro....
for the a bigger seating 50K plus I think the feasible area is Sta Rosa Laguna, or other place within the vicinity of the highway.why it is near for the NCR and has a bigger possible place for the stadium and parking space......or the area near MOA... Note: this cities are those I saw in my entire life sorry if i didnt mention the others....
It is odd and expensive pero pagpinagawa nga ng congressman yan malaking pogi points sa kanila to hehehehe

I'm not still sure if you understand the procedure, wenden. If you can finish at 1st or 2nd among 5 teams in your group at the 4th round, you directly qualify for WC. And if you finish at 3rd, you go to the 5th round. Just one step away. You said hoping to qualify for WC would be unrealistic, and you're hoping the 5th round. It just doesn't make sense bro. There's no reason not to hope to qualify if you hope to go as far as the 5th round. If hoping to qualify for WC is unrealistic at the moment, you can never hope the 5th round either. Again, it's only a step difference between the two. i think i got it wrong...well thanks for the correction.....hehehe will hoping to pass round three...

panaad for 1st round due to football loving area, and economics purposes not for local but also for the airline industry.....at para maforce marenovate na rin.... Rizal for second round renovation first panglaban sa mayamang middle eastern countries.... in short para dalawang venue marenovate at mapalaki na...... Did you read this topic entirely? It is already CONFIRMED that RMS will be the venue for the 1st round home game qualifiers... so change the question of the poll "Where shall the Philippines host Sri Lanka for the 2nd leg of the 2014 WC Qualifier on 3 July?" is it wrong to answer the question.... i knew it was RMC that was chosen....it doesnt mean that i didnt know..... i just only answering the question and for me its fine if the RMC was chosen because it will be good cause for the renovation of the RMC;)

I agree with you napagiwanan ang football sa pinas maybe because of neglect but football was and is still popoular to the visayas and mindanao...indi lang natuunan ng pansin.... It was my high school years after that event football is everywhere in negros island and panay island. The program is there especially this is the time of Ramos where he love sports also (ex the velasco brothers in boxing). and slowly disappear after the next president. if i choose between the two, ill vote for the 91 NT because of their heart, look at their height compare to the new NT today, im not against to the fil-foreign player but if we continue to use them without a proper and better youth program around the PHL i dont think we will continue to improve locally. ;Dkumbaga parang sparkplug lang yung pagkuha ng fil-fors ,without them bbaka wala lahat tong usapang football to be honest lang naman walang magtiyatiyaga pagusapan ang azkals kung puro talo ang azkals, what we should do right now is to get the inetrests of the public sa football lalo na yung mga kabataan magfootball sila & eventually maging effective ang grassroots program ng bansa for the future., pero i agree no pushover ang 1991 team kahit under-size sila & believe me mas exciting ang forwartd line dati kesa ngayon basically just bec. of one man & that's nho. 11 mr. elmer bedia! ;D yeah actually nagulat nga ako ang dami na ngayon football fans nakakataba ng puso buhay na ulit ang football. ;D

im sorry lets be realistic WC 2014 is way over our heads....but im still hoping that the azkals wound enter atleast 5th round of the Asia qualifying.....for me we will never reached WC in 15 years time without a proper and better youth program in the Philippines with consideration of a nationwide football league (not manila base league)

Truth be told. Napag-iwanan ng panahon ang Philippines. If you would compare, the level of FootBall being played before and now is very much different. Let's just say the Philippines has somehow already found again it's moment after such a long time.
