Once again Puma provides national kits for the kids. Great job! The one complaint I had about the Suzuki Cup kit is the poor alignment of the chevron pattern on the upper chest post-assembly by LGR. They should have no such problem with the current kit. It's nice and simple yet that right shoulder area with the Puma logo does provide a tad touch of teeth on it. I think very few would find this one distasteful. Now that the qualifications are over, I hope they'd have this available for purchase to the general public soon.

I live in the uk and would really like to get hold of the new blue puma azkals kit... Have tried online but can't find it for sale anywhere (puma's website doesn't even show that they provide the kit)... I could ask my wife's family or friends in the Philippines to get it for me but who knows how long that will take or how much it will cost! Any ideas or links of where I can get it from online? Any help would be much appreciated!

Right now there doesn't seem to be any way to get the new kit. They were only for sale during the Challenge cup qualifiers. Alternatively you can get the kits used last December during the AFF Suzuki Cup at the Azkals' website.

Forget Puma. They are probably praying that the Malditas lose to Thailand so that they don't look like idiots for disrespecting the WNT. It would be great to see them at the World Cup wearing gear that is NOT Puma.

They don't have the Challenge Cup kits in kid sizes? Oh well, glad they're available now.

So I got my Challenge Cup kits from the Azkals website. They look great at first glance but the devil is in the details. I'll post my review later.

Philippines Puma 2013 Challenge Cup Qualifiers Kit First of all, it took a bit more than a week for the kit shirts to arrive from the day I ordered it. I ordered both the blue and the white shirts in XL size. They are of equal quality and impact in my opinion. They were purchased here: www.azkalsfootballteam.com/store.phpI believe the following is the original Puma design: And this is the kit shirt I received: The fabric itself is nice and it feels great. It's remarkably light and thin and feels like it could keep you dry. The fit is typical Puma: TIGHT. It's unforgiving to those who wish to hide real-world bulges. So even with the size guide I suggest you get one two sizes higher for a more relaxed fit. Once again we are without any indication that this is indeed an official Puma shirt (no label within, no official seal, washing instructions, size indicator, etc.). I'm assuming that like the Suzuki Cup shirt, this was stitched together by LGR. They did a decent job, nonetheless, though the seams within the shirt are ever-so-slightly uncomfortable. But after a while you forget they are there. On to the patches... or lack thereof. As you can see here, the PFF patch is not an embroidered patch at all, but a high-resolution printed "rubberized" logo. I scoffed at this at first but upon further inspection I found the print detail incredible. However, I still prefer the embroidered patches of old, but that's just me. For clarification, the PFF logo isn't printed on the fabric. It's on a rubber seal that had been adhered somehow on the shirt (iron-on?). So after washing, hang dry. Heated tumble dryers are probably not a good idea. It doesn't look like a cheap thing. Looking at the Newcastle kit at the top of this post, it looks like it had similar livery material. The Puma logo is the same, but I was horrified to find residual adhesive probably from sticky tape used to keep the logo in place during the transfer process. More of the same with the flag. It's high quality. All in all it's a decent kit made from nice fabric. Very minimalistic design but that right shoulder off-color wedge gives a nice bite of contrast. It does feel slapped together but well enough. The price is still cheaper than any Mizuno kit in the past, even with shipping costs within Metro Manila. Buuut maybe I should have gotten a size or two higher.

Does the PFF office still sell the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup or the Challenge Cup kits? I am hesitant to buy the kits online because of the sizes. I wanna see it personally para masukat ko na din kaya sana meron sa mismong office. Small size might be super fit baka "bumaktong" . Medium size baka mag hip-hop naman. I am not familiar with the Puma fit. Help!

The 2012 Suzuki Cup and 2013 AFC Challenge Cup kits were only sold during the games, at the PFF office, at the official site or thru LGR. They were not sold in PUMA outlets. You can still get some online at the official site.
Those hungry for more PUMA kits like myself, might be interested in my new discovery. As I was going thru an alternate route on the way home yesterday, I chanced upon a sports shop at Chino Roces in Bangkal, Makati. The shop is called 1United, which mostly distributes and customizes Nike apparel. In my visit, I chanced upon the old 2012 PUMA Azkals friendly kits. I think these we're used prior to the Peace Cup jerseys currently sold in the market. What's cool is that they offer Blue, Red and Black kits and shorts for only P1980 per set, which they can customize for free. These kits are slightly different from the Peace Cup jerseys, and as I believe is exclusive to this shop, and at P990 is quite a steal. They offer discounts for bulk (6+) orders of similar items.
I got a black kit, which Neil Etheridge once used, and for the first time , I also got matching shorts which had a customized number.

The Azkals are sporting a new kit lately. Another basic Puma layout. Looks good but it's nothing special. 2014 should be a year to look forward to with the AFC Challenge Cup, PFF Peace Cup, and AFF Suzuki Cup. And it's a World Cup year so it's a good time to shine with a good kit design!
