Seems you already found the answer to your question janandrew. A bit of trivia too, a number of Madrid's ex-canteranos also have this tendency to score against their former club when they encounter each other in La Liga.

This is what I'm talking about! Good to see the kids being happy about this development!
The grass football pitch will be in a residential barangay in Sta. Cruz, and be utilized not just for the academy but for residents to use. The Davao FA will also give further assistance to the academy.
Great development for Davao football. I will hopefully see one day these kids would play on our local clubs, or even abroad... and maybe play for Real Madrid someday.

Just read this thread. Any updates on foreign clubs setting up training academies (or more) here? Summer break is here and kids should concentrate on sports where we have a real chance of becoming world-class.

Well Alaska milk was recently bought by a dutch company, Mr. Trillo the governor of Alaska in the PBa said that they might bring in Ajax. I'm not sure for a friendly against the azkals or to develop the grassroots since Alaska have this grassroots program and tourneys for the young ones.

I'm not sure for a friendly against the azkals or to develop the grassroots since Alaska have this grassroots program and tourneys for the young ones. I posted this in the Ajax thread as well: Alaska milk in the Philippines has recently been bought(majority stake) by a Dutch milk company, Royal Friesland Campina who as you know is one of the sponsors of the Ajax football team in the Netherlands and the company which has a team in the PBA, the local professional basketball league has said that they have plans to bring the Ajax football team there, although it is unclear whether he meant in a friendly or to open up an academy. Alaska is already involved in grassroots sports programs for basketball and soccer as well sponsoring numerous other sports events. My hope is that the company will eventually decide to sponsor a team in our local professional football league, the UFL, open up an academy and bring Ajax coaches and their system of play to the Philippines.

Seems you already found the answer to your question janandrew. A bit of trivia too, a number of Madrid's ex-canteranos also have this tendency to score against their former club when they encounter each other in La Liga. Juan mata for instance is a graduate of real madrid academy, becuase of lack of opportunity he moved to valencia and made a name for himself there.

Real Madrid coaches conduct football clinic in the Philippines Roy Afable, InterAKTV · Sunday, April 15, 2012 · 1:48 am Real Madrid coaches Jaime Torcal Cano, Ivan Garcia Sacristan and Pablo Gomez Revenga began a series of clinics as part of YKK’s “Just for Kicks” program. The three-day program, in partnership with the Philippine Football Federation, began with a coaches’ clinic last Friday at the University of Makati. On Saturday, the Real coaches conducted a clinic for some 250 kids, aged seven to 15 years old, at the Alabang Country Club. The second leg of the kids’ clinic continues Sunday. The program is part of YKK’s corporate social responsibility program in the ASEAN, South Asia, and Oceania region. The Japanese fastening company has been conducting similar clinics throughout the region since 2007. The recent popularity of football in the Philippines, brought about by the success of the national men’s football team, made the country a top destination for the program. The Azkals recently achieved its highest ranking in FIFA world football after a bronze-medal finish in last month’s AFC Challenge Cup. According to YKK, the program aims not just to provide kids quality teaching in the basics of “the beautiful game,” but it also helps boost their confidence while promoting a healthy lifestyle. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/real-madrid-coaches-conduct-football-clinic-in-the-philippines

Excerpt from an article of ABS-CBN MANILA, Philippines -- With the rise of the Philippine Azkals, football has also been gaining popularity in the country. Which is why football clinics and schools have started leveling up, bringing in international coaches from prestigious European teams. The YKK Just for Kicks Football clinic brought in coaches from Real Madrid Club de Futbol of Spain to help football camps for nearly 300 kids over the weekend. “It’s a great opportunity to come here and teach this beautiful game to these kids in the Philippines. It’s important to teach them the right basics as early as possible and to make the game fun for them,” said coach Jaime Torcal Cano of Real Madrid www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/04/17/....hold-clinics-ph
