i don't know what Thai fans has to say about him. are they jealous that we've got a talented player or were they surprised by his skills or were they disappointed that they haven't seen him played last Suzuki cup.

it seems like hes way too good to be playing in the TPL. I hope some AFC CL team would pick him up. We'll have to wait next season to see Patigol play in the AFC CL should Buriram claim the top spot in the TPL.

They really like Patino, and they have a great discussion about Philippines and Thailand as the match against Muangthong United and Buriram United last week is like Patino against their National Team as Muangthong defenders are mostly from their national team.(mostly of their national team players are from Buriram and Muangthong).

TPL is no doubt the best league in South East Asia, but still far from being "one of the best in Asia" status. Buriram and Muangthong are currently two dominating clubs in TPL, and see how Muangthong have been massacred in the ACL this year. Buriram on the other hand are doing pretty well, but you don't tag Scottish Premier League as one of the best in Europe just because Celtic occasionally do well in the Champions League. So, Patino definitely deserves better league and if he keeps up this pace, i believe it won't take long for him to play in major Asian leagues.
By the way, this is a bit early talk but let me just get ahead of myself. As mentioned above, Patino's club are doing surprisingly well in the ACL right now. They managed to get 6 points in 5 games so far and now have a realistic chance to be the first South East Asian club to reach the ACL knock-out stage in 10 years.
2013 ACL Group E
1. FC Seoul (KOR) 10 pts +6 2. Vegalta Sendai (JPN) 6 pts ±0 Buriram United (THA) 6 pts ±0 4. Jiangsu Sainty (CHN) 4 pts -6
Final Match, May 1 - FC Seoul vs Buriram United (in Seoul) - Vegalta Sendai vs Jiangsu Sainty (in Sendai)
So Buriram's final match is an away game against the group topper FC Seoul, and they need to win it or at the very least get 1 point, which normally would be one hard job. But what's advantageous to Buriram is the fact that FC Seoul now have no reason to play their hearts out since they have already confirmed the top place. Plus, they are struggling big time in the domestic K-League, currently 10th, so they most probably will bench their regular players to focus on the next K-League match. All considered, and from the Buriram's performance so far that i've observed, i think Patino's club have pretty decent chance to eventually take the no.2 spot and advance to the knock-out stage. Of course it also depends on the other game in Sendai, though.
If this happens, Buriram will face Group G winner in the Round of 16 (home & away), where FC Bunyodkor (UZB), Beijing Guoan (CHN) and Pohang Steelers (KOR) will be possible opponents. Whoever will be tough, but if Buriram can continue to play as solidly as they have done so far, why not think about further achievement?
And now, if Buriram advance to the quarterfinals, we can finally watch Patino play in the ACL because clubs can renew the player registration from quarterfinals. And of course it can also be a great chance for Patino to impress prestigious clubs in Asian big leagues. But again, it's too early talk and we have to see first what happens in May 1.

oh man, that crucial late equalizer by Vegalta Sendai in the extra time really cost Buriram a lot. that could have put them ahead with eight points placing second in the group, but that late goal they conceded was just very unfortunate for them

Patino can only play for Buriram's AFC Champions League fixture if they reach the Quarter-Finals. they still have to beat Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan first

Fulham lost to Reading 2-4. If they lose to either Liverpool or Swansea on their last matches, it's goodbye Premiership to Neil Etheridge for now.

You're saying Fulham will get relegated if they lose to Swansea and Liverpool, or that Etheridge might leave Fulham? There's still plenty of flotsam below the table. Don't think they're in danger.

The way it stands now, they are equal with Stoke and Villa, Stoke on superior GD and with a game in hand, and Villa inferior on goal difference. There are 7 teams below them, with Reading and QPR now relegated, so there are 5 teams below Fulham with a higher chance of being relegated. Historically, 40 has been the safety mark of the Premier League. The last team that was relegated that had 40 points or higher was West Ham back in 02/03, with 42 points. Even if Fulham lose their last two matches it would take a great statistical coincidence for all teams below them to win their remaining matches for that to happen.
