I just read the article. I find it hard to believe that M is here just to scout Phil(?) but stranger things have happened...
On another note, if the news is false it would be embarrassing for the reporter and Paper itself. Lets see what happens.
I can't wait for the game today, DVR, cornuts and energy drink ready! Game ON!!

Golly what a sloppy first half. Azkals are totally unfit. Must have had a great holiday break or something. Down 0-2.

as expected that they will lost due to no practice....but it is ok classic move by caligdong...superb....one thing that is irritating is the commentator why he keep mentioning a wrong place of birth to sacapano???etc etc

If it wasn't a match for charity I'd say we were F@#<!ng useless out there. But since this match was for a good cause let me just say that we were totally outclassed.
Initially I wanted to study the game and take it apart tactically but when I saw the Spaniards take their first touches and saw the obvious gulf in skills I said forget it! And this from a semi-pro club?!
Forget about all that talk about lacking in match fitness. Match fitness will only carry you halfway but your technical and tactical nous will carry you over the other half. If you don't have the technical skills what's the point of being match fit? As for our tactics... I'd better not get started there.
Thankfully, it was all for a good cause. Hooray for charity!

If it wasn't a match for charity I'd say we were F@#<!ng useless out there. Yup, I recorded the game so I could kinda do a player critique type thing but man! Outclassed=perfect description. And what the heck is wrong with Angel?! I love the guy but in the beginning he tripped on his own foot(!?) and looked so far away from his form in the early days! Yes I know he is recovering from an injury but his whole game was soooo off it was ugly! Personal thoughts: Sabio played terrific as did Gener. I appreciate Carli more seeing the kind of competition he plays at home, and he IS a starter for his team in Spain. James Yh, never takes a play off! So what happened to Mourinho? U17 coach was watching game... maybe he learned something... btw, CFIM is one of the lowest scoring team in their group(7) and is ranked only 13th out of 20th. What quality soccer these Spaniards play compared to us!

Kinda liked the energy Barbaso brought to the backline. I think he deserves a start. I actually thought "Extra Rice" was a better keeper than Sacapaño. At the last quarter of the match CFIM looked pretty sloppy, actually. The bench players seemed to show more hustle too, I felt. Phil and Ian should have made their wide-open chances count too. Could've/Should've been 3-3. I felt Ian's goal was onside too. And refs were confusing, but at least equally confusing for both teams. And ooo, the signed shirts up for auction were nice! And was the Casillas-signed shirt the 2012 Spain kit? Ian, Anton, Phil, and Guirado's playing frustrated me. Carli is one to watch. Sabio did better than recent times. James and Chieffy, as usual, the sparks that ignite the fire in this team. Chieffy, man, Chieffy's my hero.

kinda agree with caz, "extra rice" was the better keeper. maybe not as tall or as quick as the other keepers but compensates with great positioning and timing. so many passes that were not completed by the azkals that formed good build ups. very frustrating. i kinda thought that CFIM had better spacing ang patience in build ups.

I may be wrong, but wasn't it wrong that they played the FIFA anthem in a non FIFA-sanctioned match?
Also, I wish "Extra Rice" would come out from international retirement! He may be "extra rice" but he's experienced and he's always where he needs to be.
The Azkal players were sloppy. Passing and overall awareness need to be improved. I hope this is just because of the holiday break and the fact that a lot of the players are not Azkal regulars.
I would feel better if Air Force fares better against CFIM. They will probably have better cohesion than the hastily assembled Azkal/UFL team.
