Oh man panu na ito Expect the unexpected results Can we call Simon McMenemy for this job? hehe. WE NEED HIM hehe PFF ON LOOKOUT FOR NEW COACH TO GUIDE U22 TEAMApril 05, 2012 MANILA (6 April 2012) – The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) are on the lookout for a new coach to guide their Under-22 team for the qualifying round of the AFC U22 Asian Cup which will be held in June this year. This latest development came about after Zoran Dordevic decided to leave the Philippines and return home to Serbia citing”end of contract.” Dordevic was the coach of the Philippines U21 squad for the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2012 that was held in Brunei recently (pix). The squad ended their campaign on fifth in Group A where apart from having failed to make the cut for the semi-finals, they also did not pick up a single point. Initially, the plan was for Dordevic to also guide the U22 squad for the AFC U22 Asian Cup qualifiers in which the Philippines are placed in Group G against Myanmar, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Chinese Taipei. www.aseanfootball.org/?p=8069

Too bad that Coach Z left. He has better credentials and more experience coaching internationally than Weiss or McMenemy, both of whom are basically rookies at their job. If they had to choose a replacement, maybe they should find out if Coach Krautzun is still available. After all he has has led our team to the SEA games semifinals once before and has lots of experience coaching national teams. He would have the same connections abroad that Coach Weiss has and can easily step in as head coach of our men's national team as well, without antagonizing our German benefactors if Coach Weiss falters. "It sounds like he has finally retired from reading this article. I don't blame him. Coaching in your 70's with all the stress and aggravation, is probably not good for your health. " You said this about Cutillas , Kaya`s coach , but Krautzon is 71 years old and in bad health.

jonny,
That is the first time I heard that Krautzun's health wasn't very good. Too bad. In any case, they still need to find a new coach, preferably one with proven experience as head coach at club or international level, similar to Coach Z, and not just somebody who is getting on the job experience as head coach of our national teams like we have had in the recent past. I would even consider a Korean or Japanese coach if that is all they can afford.

IDN team will play in Palestinian Invitational Tournament. The countries will field their U-23 line-up and this tourney will serve as a preparations for AFC U-22 Qualifiers. They might face youth teams of Iraq, Jordan, Mauritius, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tunisia and Uzbekistan.
What happened to PHI haven't heard they will now train.
Azkals training resume on April 24 but what about our U-22? When will they start training?
