after watching the match, these are my notes:
Lolo Gener's near turn over at our defensive third around the 12 min. mark and a very very bad clearance later.
2 extra sucky pass by del Rosario
De Jong seems to be out of himself, several loss of concentration, at least 3 goal conceding errors against a quality SEA opponent. (2 in 1st half, 1 in second half)
Though Caligdong scored, his crosses are horrible
Etheridge did almost a Greening moment there with a Robinsonesque clearance. Are England based goalkeepers have this curse?
Araneta is very profligate in front of goal, bad off the ball movement, absolutely no composure and very very bad positioning. No killer instinct, finishing is absolutely non existent and anticipation is not fit for a striker.
As for the over all team observation, i like the McMenemy set-up better. The team are more composed and assured when they play. Well, that's just my observation. If that's the way we play against Indonesia, we would be down by 5-0 in the first half. The team could be called anything except fast. Our counters are better against Indonesia.
Passing leaves so much to be desired, no through ball gets through, always intercepted. Nobody could dribble like Okto or Ridhuan, even Phil Younghusband's dribbling sucks. Nobody could dribble in the team that could cause problems against opposing teams. Also the team's overall first touches are not so good, could be easily dispossessed under pressure.
The team is really slow, no speed can be seen anywhere, no cohesion. They could have scored more goals doing kick and run long balls and feed off opponents mistakes. The goals scored are individual handiwork and never a result of team effort.
Well, maybe they could be forgiven because the pitch in the Panaad Stadium sucks so much. The ground is so uneven and the ball won't even roll straight and level. On the other hand, they should already be used to that ground condition since they are there more than a week and it also gives Mongolia the same problem, so it cancels out. We really need a better football pitch in the future.
Hopefully, in the Ulaan Batar leg, passing would be better. The ground would be flatter because of ice

Good luck to the 2nd leg in Mongolia. They really need it.
