Safee is not in list because i think he plays for an ISL club in Indonesia which is an illegal league... Yes ISL is an Illegal League. Liga Prima Indonesia is their 1st in Indonesian Pyramid not ISL. Even McMenemy's team is also on the Illegal League (Mitra Kukar) By the way here's an article that supports your info SAFEE CAN STILL PLAY FOR MALAYSIA, FOR NOWFebruary 04, 2012 KUALA LUMPUR (4 Feb 2012) – Safee Sali, who recently signed a multi-million ringgit deal with Indonesian club Pelita Jaya FC, can still play for the Malaysian national team – at least for the moment. Pelita Jaya FC are playing in the Indonesia Super League (ISL) which is not officially sanctioned by the FA of Indonesia (PSSI). Datuk Alex Soosay, the general secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said this week that Safee can still play for Malaysia at least until 22 March 2012. “FIFA and the AFC have given until 22 March 2012 for the PSSI to sort out their issue with regards to the ISL. I believe that the PSSI will be having a Congress on 18 March to settle the issue of the ISL,” said Datuk Alex. “But should they fail to find a resolution up to that date then they are in danger of running afoul of FIFA with sanction a big possibility. At the same time too, I would like to say that the AFC had never at any point asked the PSSI to give us the list of players playing in the ISL. That report is not correct.” In the meantime, the FA of Malaysia (FAM) revealed that they have received a letter from the PSSI informing them that Safee will be banned from representing Malaysia should he continue to play for the unsanctioned ISL. www.aseanfootball.org/?p=7519
He can still play in their friendlies including their game against us if he also leave the ISL or else he will be banned from national duty. Anyway, Still Azkals no line up for our friendly against Malaysia

This is BTW the reason I went on campaign to prevent the Younghusbands from signing with the rogue Indonesian league last year. Azkal Team management was facilitating the negotiations with one of the teams in the rogue Indonesian league until they became aware of the consequences of such a signing, and subsequently advised the Younghusbands not to sign.

The Malaysian team is a very young one with their U23 composing the core of the Suzuki Cup Champion squad but with reinforcements such as Safee who is a dangerous center forward.
Their goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi isn't on the list either. Could this be final considering they're playing a powerhouse Saudi Arabia days before us?
One concern of mine is the pitch condition at Rizal Memorial. I've seen it deteriorate recently and would be embarrassed to hold a FIFA friendly of this scale on it. What the hell is going on there

I think their preserving Khairul Fahmi for U-23 and also they have a match two days before (Feb 22). which probably the Senior Team will be in Australia and getting prepared for their friendly match against Saudi Arabia.

Based on their performance with AUS U-23 yesterday, MAY LABAN TAYO DITO We have a strong chance to win here. We really need to win here to move up in FIFA rankings. Who are our available Europe-based players here in this friendly aside from Neil Etheridge, Denis Wolf and Ray Jonsson? This is in FIFA Calendar so clubs must release their players Predict your starting 11 and their positions now as well as the score For me PHI 2 MAS 0 If we have a strong line up

1-0 by Philippines. Comes from a beautiful cross and a big header. BOOOOOM Thats my greatest wish for the Azkals. Hindi pa kasi nakaka score from a Header ang Azkals (?). Actually 2010, lots, especially Ian Araneta, Chris G. among others, check the youtube for the Suzuki Cup, inspiring highlights If the coach starts with a conservative defensive lineup like that game against Aus and then adjust from there, we will be ok. I think AFTER A YEAR! he has discovered that his bombs away attack attack game plan does not work if the squad is of a lesser quality than the opponent. What we have is speed with our younger guys, although they are young the coach has to find a way for them to stretch the field and come ready and strong for a good counter attack. We now know that Denis Wolf and Phil Younghusband are very dangerous against most any opponent. If Denis comes to this game, both need to play to all their potential including on defense, something that Phil has lacked in sometimes. No disrespect to Ian but after a year, the coach should know that he isn't the answer anymore. There are more promising local players that needs to be exposed to these types of games, as we all saw in these past 3 games. The timely arrival of Juani and reemergence of the new Sabio with Gier(hopefully) coming back from a minor injury will be key. If Lucena and Cagara comes down then this will be even better. Carli seems to be a lock for the RB for a long time and Ray does not seem to be slowing down with age which is also a plus. For the mids Marwin has been an eye opener, he has quality passing and has a young motor, I think he will be improving for years to come. Jason is dependable, in a good way and bad way(I'll take that). Angel was playing inspired against Aus, I like him that way, although he is noted as a ball hog by some, nevertheless he is one of the better handlers the Azkals have. Misagh did another disappearing act but hopefully he'll come back for the Malay friendly. Finally, the coach, he definitely is a dense one. It really takes him time to adjust/change his tactics or philosophy. If he can make sense of his substitution patterns, use the Azkals strength instead of forcing a philosophy which we cannot play and for God's sake stop with the excuses, then loses are more tolerable as long as there are obvious signs of progressing. I think we can upset Malaysia or at the very least draw the game.
