I agree with the 4-5-1 and we'd probably see Araneta as the target man based on Weiss' habits. But If we really want to keep solid at the back and hit them on the counter perhaps we can just drop one of the strikers. Etheridge Carli Sabio J. Guirado Jonnsson De Jong Moy Misagh Angel Wolf Araneta(Hopefully Beloya instead pls)
We have two DMs which could help out and maybe match out the physicality of the Aussies. But If we really want speed and facility on the counter im open to moving Guirado to Wolf's spot and putting Wolf up top instead. We could even move Doctora to the wing if we put Angel in the mid to put speed on the wings and even help track back to help out our fullbacks.

Here's my line up if we go with the 4-5-1 Etheridge
De Murga - Guirado - Sabio - Jonsson
Misagh - Angeles - Wolf - De Jong - Angel Beloya Subs: Doctora, Moy Beloya has an excellent first touch as seen in the sea Games and he could be very dangerous if we go for counter attacks with the long balls. with wolf being the facilitator they could create a lot of chances. Angel has been improving lately on the wings but he tends to over dribble so is Misagh. so hopefully if both these guys step up and create attacking chances then we will have a good match tonight hopefully!! Doctora subs in for Beloya as he is also dangerous with counters..

Local football (not the Aussie-rules footy!) forums in Australia (e.g. footballnews.com.au, ) seems not very vocal about the friendly between the Olyroos and the Azkals, apparently because they may perceive this as nothing to expect much with because of the lowly-ranked status of the national team.
Nevertheless, if the Philippine team would be able to upset the Aussies, that would create a buzz across the community.

Hello All, BAD NEWS: Just got news, the Younghusbands are now in the Philippines practicing at the turf with Loyola. No info on why they are home(maybe promised by PFF to Loyola to get them back sooner?). A friend who attended Azkal practice in the UAE today also mentioned that they weren't with the team. Winning will be alot harder GOOD NEWS: More players will be able to strut their stuff, Beloya & Doctora come to mind. Injury has also showed us some gems. Sabio for Gier, now we really should be sure that Sabio's improvements is real and not a fluke. Chieffy's absence also showed us Marwin's quality. If you saw the game you'd see him with very good handling and discipline belieing his young age. Time for someone to step up for the absent brothers. THE DOWNER: You can bet Ian A(coaches fave) will start Do you really think it was concerning their sister or UFL/LMS matter??? I dont think so...Maybe its about a certain commercial or photo shoot or maybe about a date they promised to their GFs...Hahaha...Joke! Anyway FYI the organizers here in Dubai are scrambling...Buy one Get two tickets as promotion before the games??? Ticket sales must really be that bad...tsk tsk tsk...

will be watching out for beloya later on. his legs will surely hold-up better against the younger and rough 'n tumble aussies as compared to the older araneta.
i really hope weiss would give the upstarts the chance to kick ass later on. it's their time

MM check the time when I posted, it was immediately when someone saw them at the Turf so we didn't know what was going on. Yup, the reason is their sponsors from what we've surmised.

Araneta and Bahadoran should show more than this. It is just not good enough. Let's see in the second half.
