Considering it is Pasargad they are facing at UMak, I would think they can handle not having most of their key starters. Global Fc lost to Army , they can lose to Pasargad also... Anyway squad list for Kia Rio Cup is released at 10 am tomorrow

Here's the lineup of Azkals United that will play Icheon Citizen on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. Eduard Sacapaño, Paolo Pascual, Ian Araneta, Misagh Bahadoran, Dennis Wolf, Rob Gier, Roel Gener, Nestor Margarse, Chieffy Caligdong, Raymark Fernandez, Angel Guirado, Carli de Murga, Bervic Italia, Anton Albor, Ruben Doctora, Marvin Angeles, Marwin Angeles, and Jerry Barbaso. The coaching staff: Michael Weiss, Edwin Cabalida, Roroy Piniero, and Edzel Bracamonte. *note our to Filipino-Italian youth player and twins, the Angeles brothers *I am not familiar, playing wise, with about a third of the team but since more than half of the starters play in the same team I hope it won't be that messy tonight. *Too bad Simon Greatwich couldn't participate... networkedblogs.com/sZiF1

... *I am not familiar, playing wise, with about a third of the team but since more than half of the starters play in the same team I hope it won't be that messy tonight. ... This is a good time to experiment. This is indeed a very different "Azkal" team, but I'm satisfied with the players that we have, considering this is a friendly/fund-raiser match.

I'm almost done cooking some breaded fried chicken, DVR is set and ready, dog just got a bath, I'm not gonna let anything bother me when this game start. Heck, I'm just enjoying the fact that a Korean team is not only helping Filipinos in Mindanao they also deem it enough to travel to the Philippines and play with us! Game on!! ;D Winning would be cherry on top!

so far even tough the Azkals are down 1 nil, I'm still impressed about the way they play. This game is really a good experiment for Coach Weiss. SCORE Azkals 0-1 Icheon FC at halftime. And LOL at the Kia Rios being shown and roamed around at RMS.

Halftime thoughts: Azkals United:I'm beginning to doubt Ian Araneta already. It has been "all roads lead to Ian Araneta" I think. And he WASTED them! Denis Wolf is IMPRESSING! He is definitely a potential attacking mid there, and a good replacement for Paul Mulders! Rob Gier is obviously not quite fit yet, since he recovered from his calf injury during the Dream Cup. He's still sluggish on his area. But he's still good when fit. And he's wonderful organizing his back four. Misagh Bahadoran is threatening to the centre defense! He only needs assistance from the front, which was I said WASTED. I couldn't help but pity over Chieffy Caligdong. His small size isn't helping his speed over the very witty wingbacks of Icheon. Icheon Citizens:THEY ARE DEFINITELY THREATENING. A mix of Korean-style attacking and English-style paces. Bob Guerrero even commented "is this an English club?" That goal shouldn't been conceded if Barbaso was speedy enough. Off-note:The pitch is a little awful-looking. That's why I'm looking forward for an artificial turf... (but still wondering...) I love the 2012 Kia Rio. I hope I could have one. ;D That's all for now.

How in the world did Barbaso get left out of the SEAG while German offensive players played on defense??!!
Watch the fastest defender with the flowing hair(thats not named Guirado). Super pace I tell you.
Gier and Margarse are playing too high. They don't have the pace to catch up...

Azkals lose my friends. 2-4 on pen. Caligdong and Angeles made the 2 penalties while our "spaniards" got their pens out wide but good game without the Younghusbands.
