It doesn't matter who posted it first. Important thing is we are listing the info to our readers who can actually watch the game. Hopefully some of you will also list the livestream link of the local coverage, so those of us abroad can also view the game. If not we can make do with the Taiwanese coverage, and read your comments on the net. Petty, petty petty.

If we can find some gems that we can use not just in the SEAG but also in the 2012 Challenge Cup, I am all ears.

I totally agree jp. If we can add a few more pieces to add to the senior team, it will add depth and competition to the team. It also will prevent complacency within the team and force everyone to get better and play harder. Personally I am excited at the possibility of James Younghusband being able to play central defence. It is not easy to find a central defender with height who can hold the ball, have his vision and intelligence and provide passes like he does. The only question is whether he can hold his ground defensively, against international caliber opponents. If he can, I can see him getting an offer from a team in a reputable league abroad. His skill set at that position is not very common in any foreign league, much less the UFL.

Hello fellow Azkal fans. LT Cup next on the agenda. Lets have some fun, semi intelligent, fan banter. Using the recently released LTC Azkal roster, how would you man your starting XI? Here's mine:
against the very dangerous Hong Kong team...
R. Mueller Carli(U23)----------James Yh----------Aly B.----------N. Leonora(U23) Jason de Jong(if JdJ unavailable I'll put Matthew H as a sweeper type) Lexton Moy--------------------Chieffy Angel Guirado Phil Yh--------------------Mark Hartmann
I want a strong defense against a fast HK team(they are fast according to stellar). I've got de Jong at defensive mid because he's been at that position before and should be match fit as he has been playing for his youth team(hopefully he comes down). Carli is at his natural position.
Lexton Moy if he is not injured, I'd try at RM, good passer and fast paced. First game with the Azkals he was passing long balls well.
Angel, good passer already, can he remain steady at attacking mid?
Aly B. hopefully he'd be match fit by then. No arguing with his leadership and experience.
Only other team worth considering at this time other than Phil and Mark together is Phil and Misagh, I think. Any other ideas here?
Nickson Leonora, played very well the first game. If he's unsuccessful yank him and put another. Any thoughts on this side? Matthew H. maybe, he just didn't look that fast from what I saw? Or Gener, he has played LB spot before.

Here's mine.. Against HK.. (assuming Aly is fit)
Meuller carli-------Oliver P.--------Aly---------de Jong Moy JYH------Chieffy Angel PYH-------mark Hartmann
For Taiwan and Macau. JYH at CB replacing Aly. I'll move Carli back at mid and have Fernandez play RB.. Kinda like that kid..

Azkals rout Kaya Cignal, ready for Long Teng CupBy Alder Almo (philstar.com) Updated September 24, 2011 06:58 PM MANILA, Philippines – The Long Teng Cup-bound Philippine Azkals used a strong second half to dominate United Football League’s Kaya Cignal FC, 5-nil, Saturday at the end of the I Can Serve Foundation Football Invitationals before a sizable crowd at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. The Azkals gained much needed confidence and cohesion with their new lineup heading into the 4-nation Long Teng Cup which is scheduled on Sept. 30-Oct. 4 in Taiwan. Mark Hartmann opened the scoring parade of the national squad in the second half via free kick in the 55th minute. The 19-year old Fil-British striker sailed his attempt above Kaya Cignal’s wall defense to score the stunning goal. Fil-Spanish Angel Guirado, who just arrived from a brief vacation in Spain two days prior to the match, made the second goal with a crossover fake off his defender at the 67-minute mark of the match. Three minutes later, Chieffy Caligdong followed up a saved shot by Kaya Cignal’s goalie Saba Sadeghi to hike Azkals’ lead, 3-nil. Phil Younghusband, who aggressively attacked Kaya Cignal’s defense all throughout the match, finally gained ground with two goals – a great feed from his brother James in the 82nd minute and the final goal four minutes later. Fil-German goalie Roland Muller also made a good account of himself in his debut with the team, saving four attempts of Kaya Cignal. “I am satisfied with our game especially in the second half. We struggled in the first half as I gave Angel [Guirado] some playing time, one day after coming back. Phil and James [Younghusband] played great especially James on defense,” Azkals coach Michael Wise said. It was a fitting follow up to Azkals' opening 3-2 win against UFL Cup champion Global Smartmatic last Wednesday. The national team will leave for Taiwan on Wednesday. www.philstar.com/SportsArticle.aspx?articleId=730589&publicationSubCategoryId=200&keyword=sp_football

President's Cup Champion Taipower's Lu Kun Shan: "Next Goal - Long Teng Cup!"
(google translated)
[WASHINGTON] Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President's Cup (President's Cup) final, Taipower team in the championship battle to Phnom Penh, Cambodia crown 3:2 Lectra teams, soccer in 52 years to obtain the first international champion, China Republic Football Association Lu Kun Shan said, "The next target is the next Long Teng Cup." lack of resources, time constraints, the China Football Association to undertake the President's Cup final, Lu Kun Shan hope to bring more football development in Taiwan greater confidence, Taiwan Power Company under the team can do so in the absence of mercenaries to get the title, Lu Kun Shan said: "The objective was achieved, very happy! " " This is our since 1958, the first official international match of the championship, "Lu Kun Shan that "It's not easy, Taipower team won the championship, the development of domestic football is a bigger incentive! for government, business to support the development of football, more confident that our lack of resources, it is also to have such good results, but also able to convince more fans come out, with action to support domestic football. " Lu Kun Shan said: "Our next goal is the Dragon Cup!" Dragon Cup September 30 to October 4 at the National Kaohsiung Stadium, the Chinese men's soccer team in Hong Kong, the Philippines 3 team race championship.
MVP Chen Boliang: We're going to win Long Teng Cup
(google translated)
[Correspondent Yeshi Hong / Kaohsiung report] in terms of the national team or home team Taipower team, Chen Boliang key players are essential array, as Taiwan's first trip outside of football, in addition to help his team in the AFC President Taipower champion cup for the first time, but also want to leave at the end of Dragon Cup champion.
Division midfield Chen Boliang the main location, sometimes as a second striker, not only has excellent passing ability, shooting skill as Yiba Zhao, in order to enable him to enjoy playing on the floor, in the past led by the Luo Zhicong Taiwan team, even let him choose the field station, and he always live up to, often for the team meritorious deeds, Taipower President's Cup semi-final second-team battle this year to reverse the magic of 4:3, he scored 1 goal is to rely on and create the 2 scoring opportunities.
Chen Boliang he moved to Hong Kong in January TSW Pegasus was half a season, ending in June, after the contract with the Pegasus team, returned to Taiwan to join Taipower team, he said: "I Taipower to provide a stable playing environment, the future if there is an opportunity, I will look for opportunities to travel outside. "
Taipower to help win in the history of the first President's Cup champion, Chen Boliang Dragon Cup fight to the end-oriented. In addition to "Taipower 9 warrior", the head coach Chen Gui people will participate in the national team coaches, and South Korean coach Li Taihao with Taiwan's international soccer match results efforts.
It seems the Chinese Taipei national team members who are members of Taipower, the AFC President's Cup champs, are very serious in winning the tournament. The MVP, Chen Bo-liang, is very fast and intelligent, according to my research. He's very important to the national team, and his presence will be a threat to the opponents, including the Azkals.
I'm eyeing on Mr. Chen this LT Cup if ever he's gonna survive from our young Euro-players especially Carli and the Hartmanns. Add to that: he'll be the skipper of the national team for this tournament.

Huh. So the Long Teng Cup and Dragon Cup are one and the same? I prefer the latter name. Anyways, it's easy to overlook how strong these teams can be, considering our recent fixtures against Suzuki Cup competitors and Kuwait. Thanks for running the above through a translator!

Huh. So the Long Teng Cup and Dragon Cup are one and the same? I prefer the latter name. Anyways, it's easy to overlook how strong these teams can be, considering our recent fixtures against Suzuki Cup competitors and Kuwait. Thanks for running the above through a translator! The alternative name of the tournament is "Dragon Cup," but the official name is "Long Teng Cup," according to the Chinese Taipei FA. The name "long teng (龍騰)," which actually refers to the Kaohsiung National Stadium, roughly means "the flying (or galloping) dragon." Well, I'm very keen to our Fil-Euros in the line-up considering they played well. And I predict Mark Hartmann to be the top goal-scorer for the tourney. In to the victory! Go Azkals!

Ooo, that's really interesting! Someone should update Wikipedia with that info (I wish I knew how). Thanks for that bit of trivia! Thanks Caz. I graduated from a Chinese school so I know how to read, speak and write Chinese (I can speak Mandarin and Fukienese), but I'm not yet good at translating and conversing. And I have friends in Taiwan who help me with the research for this tourney. Hope it was a great help for you. Anyways, I am rooting for Mueller if he will be greatly tested against the strong East Asian teams. I hope his communication skills will be greatly put into use, because I see he "talks" a lot like Neil Etheridge. (I put that word in quotes because although he's not well-versed in English - in this case, for the NT - his gestures help the defenders stay put.)
