does Weiss knows about this? he could had taken advantage of such ruling...perhaps give the bench the chance to make a difference???

this match is a joke. biased refs and Taiwanese players faking injuries to slow down the tempo.

strange substitution patterns for the Philippines. Bringing in a defensive player(Moy) for a forward(Araneta) when they are trying to score. Philippines has only 2 subs while Taiwan has 5.
I beleive Mark Hartmann is in the doghouse for his comments. That is a coach'es decision which is a disciplinary issue that is his prerogative. Nevertheless, maybe he should have started him in the first place instead of Araneta who was ineffective again.
Why wasn't Misagh tried instead?
New players were tried out, like Leonora and Moy.
We really miss Chieffy.
Great game by Muller. Man of the Match.

Is this another Weiss idiosyncrasy that he hates to make substitutions?

Very biased officiating in favor of Taipei, very good acting from the Taipei players and a coach that just don't know how to maximize the 5 substitution rule... Got the feeling that the Azkals will no longer improve under Weiss... there is a lack of game plan... he does not even have a strategy to bit the off-side plays of Taipei

Disappointing loss for me. Really frustrated with Phil and Ian. Officiating was a joke, particularly the non-calls on studs up challenges. Angel needs to go back to Spain and get his attack instinct back, but his part in defense was significant. My new star is Oliver P's backline performance, which was really good. Chieffy was dearly missed.
We need strikers who still have that killer instinct and finishing touch. I was really frustrated by our performance up front.

Slayermoon and vimjonkl: Agree with you guys... misagh would have been a better option... Would be very much interested to see Mark in behalf of Angel or Matt... but I guess he is under disciplinary action for his comments... but I believe he will be able to control the plays better

Hoping to see Mark and Misagh start against Macau. Phil and James could play the wings.

Can someone explain to me how Taiwan displayed a better possession game than us. Their coach was hired fairly recently compared to Coach Weiss. For a so called offensive coach, I don't think Coach Weiss has improved our possession game in his time with the team.
