ABS-CBN got the TV deal right? They should show this friendly games to add spice to the main game or maybe show highlights. I'm SURPRISED that Star Sports 33 is not the one showing the Feb. 9th game live, instead channel 2 or 23 will...Is there a reason for this?

It is because ABS CBN and PFF has already made a contract for two or one year ata... Maybe it is stipulated that ABS will only be the sole and exclusive media partner covering such event...ABS will also televise the Mongolia match...

"If I play, I will make a goal" - William Guerridon
Seems we found an alternate striker for the squad. He is cocky but he is backing it up. William started and scored a goal against the CPU Koreans. With all the current and potential additions to the squad, we finally can have relevant substitutions that can change the tone of the game as well as cover for injuries. As Coach Weiss said, the starting players were starting to get complacent and lazy. The influx of good players incl. the Hall brothers who played for the reserves at Everton and Queen Parks Rangers in the past, the great Danes Dennis Cagara and Jerry Lucena and current Bundesliga 2 star Stefan Schroeck, will keep them on their toes and make them work harder.

William Guerridon is one of the Fil Germans from the lower divisions in Germany, who I believed was born in the Philippines but grew up and learned football in Germany. He carries a Philippine passport already so he can play immediately. He plays forward or striker, a position we desperately need alternatives for, and is a decent scorer for his club in Germany. He is one of the players listed on this website under Scouting for eligible players.
William Espinosa was mentioned by Coach Weiss as a new discovery from the local leagues is a different person. I don't know much about him.

Well, if they are one and the same, he is certainly not a find from the local leagues as one the articles indicated since he is from Germany. I recognized Gueridon though in the pictures of that match against CPU starting for the team, the same guy who was in the meeting with Dan Palami in Germany. Maybe his full name is William Gueridon Espinosa or vice versa.
Speaking of Williams, on twitter a lot of the players incl. Simon Greatwich, Aly Borromeo, and Anton del Rosario have taken to calling one of their teammates William Wallace, the Scottish hero in the movie Braveheart. I think they are referring to Mark McMahon who is Scottish. Apparently he has a fetish for polishing his football shoes. They were kidding about stealing his shoes and selling it on ebay. Hope the guy doesn't pull out his sword and start playing Braveheart to his English tormentor Simon. ;D

Yup. It is one and the same Williams. Here is a quote from a previous article:
"Thirty-one players made the cut to the national pool after a three-day tryout was held last week at the University of Makati.
A group of 25 will be chosen one week before the Azkals face Mongolia in their first home-and-away encounter on Feb. 8 at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
Among those who made the cut were Phil and James Younghusband, along with mainstays Edward Sacapano, Kristopher Relucio, Rey Mark Palmes, Nestorio Margarse, Chris and Simon Greatwich, Roel Gener and Mark Anthony Ferrer.
Goalie Neil Etheridge was also included along with Anton del Rosario, Jason de Jong, Christopher Camcam, Chieffy Caligdong, skipper Aly Borromeo, Joebel Bermejo, Yanti Barsales, Jerry Barbaso, Peter Jaugan, Rob Gier and Ian Araneta.
Among the newcomers is a comebacking Fil-German Mark Drinkuth, who brought with him the Tagalog-speaking William Espinosa-Guiridon, Patrick Herget, Oliver Poltschke and John Patrick Hinrichsen. Jerry Lucena has yet to arrive in Manila with Stephan Schroeck and Jason Sabio"
