I was able to watch the game on TV The game was really exciting indeed. As for the players, I thought everybody did well except for Ian, Denis Wolf and Jason De Jong. As for Carli, he played his position very well, again. Ang problema lang talaga sa kanya sa game nya ngayon eh gigil na gigil siya. Demit did well in that wing position. Better dribbling skills. Better crossing/passing. Also for Marwin Angeles. He's done well again in that midfiel position. Very composed. Better passing. Hands down again to Chieffy. Kahit may injury, he's a workhorse parin. Kakatuwa talaga si Christaens maglaro. Walang kapaguran. All in all, maganda talaga laro ng team statistically speaking. Better ball possesion. Sana magpatuloy pato. Hanggat maging powerhouse tayo sa Asia.

Good performance. Sapacano had a flawless game last night. He wasn't really tested, but when needed he made the right decisions and showed brave goalkeeping. Omphroy is a great addition to the squad. Quick, good dribbling skills, good vision. He'd be a good competition for James at RW or with Carlie at RB. I hope he can keep himself healthy. Christaens is looking better and better at LB. I was worried when I learned that Carli and De Jong will be our starting CBs but I thought they did well. Araneta "the scorer of 9 intl goals" as Bob Guerero always say (he doesn't mention though that this is 9 out of a bazillion matches, hehe) as always, was given good chances but failed to convert them. Wolf didn't score but with him dropping deep, linked the midfield with the attack well.

I guess the only problem with the match is the commentator. Could ABS-CBN/Studio23 get a "real" football commentator? LOL

guys what can you say about the performance of the Guam's MLS player Ryan Guy?
who deserves to start in our RW? Demit or James? is Reichelt capable of playing as a striker or should better stay at wings? sorry never had a time to watch the game

I would still choose James YHb over Demit and Demit as supersub. I just want James to cool down oftentimes. Reichelt should stay on that wing position since he's better being a playmaker and better passing and positioning. Marwin is a good replacement for Schrocky I guess but still lacks efficient passing sometimes. The thing that is really noticeable with our team is that we gel well and that cohesiveness is slowly getting better. As well as passing and ball possession. My insights.

Let us not put too much significance in our win today. Guam played a defensive counterattacking game which gave us lots of possession and made our midfield look good. When better teams in the past who played us more evenly and contested the midfield, the possession advantage most of the time is usually not in our favor, although hopefully the newcomers might help us in that regard in the future. That is also one of the reason Ryan Guy was not as visible. That is not his game as he is more involved when his team keeps possession of the ball. Man of the match for me is Guam player MLS Portland Timbers draftee goaltender Doug Herrick who held the fort in goal for the beleaguered Guam team and made quite a number of excellent saves.
Anyways good game nevertheless as we dominated the stats inspite of all the absences and got the win we needed at home to keep our fans happy. I think we have pretty good chance of doing well the rest of the tournament and hopefully collect the trophy. I only wish somebody would actually post the entire game so those of us who were not able to watch it earlier can view it on replay.

Maybe not much significance but still a good game. Aside from the score line, I was looking for individual improvements in our game.
Number one, we didn't settle for a draw. We should develop that winning mentality that even to the last minute we can still win a game (like Brgy. Ginebra).
Even without the YH brothers, we created many chances. Still really need to improve on finishing. We need to add depth on our strikers as Wolf, Araneta, is very limited.
Good job also to Anto but sometimes a tad too cheeky when passing. Lead the midfield very well compared to Mathew Uy. He was slow and misplaced his crosses.
Lexton Moy was good with his hustle and long range shot. Hopefully we can get one in the next matches.
