Just watched the replay on Studio 23, and I can really attest that Global was literally Pavoned with fielding Sanogo! He supposed to have played in the French third division, but boy oh boy, he botched it!
Will keep tabs on the main tournament on September, though. I'll root for Palestine's Hilal Al-Quds.

stellar is right Global was #####ed big time. From bad positioning to straight boneheaded play. I put these losses on the coach. The people here are right it should've been their best offensive goal scorer Izzo and excellent defender Starosta. Didn't Dan Palami even had the coach watch EdSa in action in the last two years with the Azkals??
The way I see it EdSa is a master of the basics and Sanogo might think he has flash but lacks "basics". Lets see if the coach learns a thing or two come the Singapore Cup...

Are you sure Brian Reid was able to scout EdSa well since he arrived in the PI? I felt he didn't, or he was just too concerned of Ed's head injury he got vs Kaya a few weeks ago? Yeah, in the S Cup, though, they will be limited to 5 foreigners, so Reid will have more choices in this one. Hope he doesn't botch it again.

I do agreed that in such tournament, one must always field proven tested and reliable shot stopper in the likes of EdSa. EdSa is a tested proven and reliable shot stopper, and one of the best shot stoppers in Asean today. I voted him as the best shot stopper in the recently concluded Suzuki Cup. Every department/position in soccer is important but the most important is the shot stopper. A steady defence give the team confident, a brave proven safe pair of hands between the post, provide stability and assurance to his team mates.
