I think muller has yet to save a penalty since i think he was never challenged to a penalty yet. oh.. I stand corrected. anyway, here's a mention of memorable penalty saves from Bob G.'s article on Eduard Sacapaño after his fantastic performance during the friendly against Singapore. Tats Mercado saved a PK against Vietnam in the 2002 Tiger Cup. Louie Casas stopped one in the 2004 edition of the tournament. Neil Etheridge made a big blank in the Challenge Cup. Pinoy keepers just have a way of stopping penalties, and this was yet another example. ph.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/thepassionatefan/neil-roland-152513459.html#more-id

Guys, I wouldn't count Pascual out just yet, if you didn't know he started for our U19, U21, U22 squads in various tournaments. He also was behind Roland Muller in the 2011 SEA Games. He is constantly called up as the 3rd choice keeper behind Etheridge and Sacapano for the Senior squad whenever they have friendlies or tournaments. His notable performance was his match against Laos during the 2012 edition of the Hassanal Bolkiah Cup in Brunei. In the first half of that game, the Philippines conceded 3 goals and scored 1. During the second half , the Philippine defence broke down and Laos peppered the Philippine goal with shots relentlessly for 45 minutes but miraculously Pascual saved them all! Their coach, Zoran Dordevic even told Pascual and I quote, " You were not normal out there, You were a King". Pascual was made Captain for the rest of their fixtures after that unforgettable match. His overall performance in the tournament was good, He saved a penalty and played his best game against Laos. The best thing about him is that he's only 21 years old. He's got a long way to go. Hopefully, he will get to display his skill for the senior squad someday

if Pascual is good then he should be a regular starter in his club Global. the good thing is he still have plenty of time to improve

How about Alphonse Areola? Kinda hope France don't choose him as their future 1st choice... He speaks Tagalog and stuff so he'll obviously have less trouble integrating with the NT. plus, he'll be in time for the current U14s

Deyto allowed 5 goals today against global... was not able to watch the game.. any analysis on what happened with GAU was the goals mostly errors of Deyto or GAU back 4...

deyto is a good goal keeper adding more practice will do him good.bata p toh even sa FA or LA LIGA example = czech even though his a world class goal jkeeper nakaklusot parin dahil sa back 4 casilas of madrid same as well GAU back 4 is weak na out smart sila nang global witch talagang mangyayari dahil ang global full of football star even buying a polish footballer so im not surprise na ganon ang score

GAU's back line is out of sync. palagi silang caught out of the position. we can not blame deyto solely for all that loss. kung may isyu man siguro ay leadership skill niya. he should voicing out his opinions in organizing the defense. from the post he can see the possible play. does anyone know how our U14 GK plays. yung naka rugby cap.

i think it's because of the weak back four of GAU. conceding two goals in as early as 13 minutes will also make the confidence of the Goalie down. it will affect the mindset of each keeper and may not be very vocal on his defense anymore especially if his morale is down
