function (){_AF$.drBox.pPP()}I don't know if this is the right area to post this. I'm 24 years old, I'm from Marikina and I want to learn football. I know some of you may laugh because I'm too old to start playing football and some might say that I'm just joining the bandwagon since football has been popular this past few years but in my case it's not. When I was young, I remember watching olympic football with my uncle. I've been a fan of Manchester United since I became aware of club football. But like any kids back then, my parents urged me to play basketball since it's the number 1 sport in the country. I also studied in schools with no football program (P.E.) from elementary to college and I don't know anyone who plays football in my area hence I had no access. I recently got unemployed and decided to help with our family business so my schedule almost permits me to do anything I want. I'm not planning to be a pro. Learning the basics and playing the game would be enough to make me happy and appreciate more the game that I have loved since childhood. For anyone who would like to help me with this dilemma, just PM me. :-) Thanks and God Bless!

rules wise, I already know them since childhood. But would it be more fun to learn the game with others than watching in youtube?

If you want to play for amateur competitions, why not try the Weekend Futbol League. They've got a bunch of teams that play on the weekend (obviously). Check out their website: weekendfutbol.com/ , and Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Weekend.Futbol

Use Youtube to watch for things you want to try, practice, and try playing some games if you can.
