The Malditas' "consolation match" vs Bangladesh at the AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers.
They could hope that Iran beats Thailand for them to qualify, but it will be very unlikely.
Kickoff at 8pm Manila time.

our game and the game between the Thais and Iran should be played at the same time to avoid match fixing

Why would the Malditas want to avoid match fixing? It might be our only hope!

@ thai_league: Thailand's women won 5-1 v Iran in Asian Cup qualifying; Thailand qualify regardless of the Philippines v Bangladesh result

HT 2-0 for Philippines
Almost at full time now. Sounds like Bangladesh just parking the bus. Haven't heard of any opportunity to counter from them. Philippines mounting attack after attack. At halftime they had 15-18 shots off target. When they said they'd attack like crazy they meant it.
80' Philippines taking their 13th corner.
85' GOAL Barnekow! Philippines lead 3-0 She's one of the two defenders. Philippines playing 2-4-4
The other two goals were in the first half. By Park and de los Reyes.
90+5 GOAL Park! Philippines lead 4-0
FT: Philippines 4-0 Bangladesh (Park 19', delos Reyes 30', Barnekow 85', Park 95')

I'm very hopeful that this will lead to a women's league or that leagues abroad will pick these Malditas up for their teams. They're the real deal. Things look very promising.
Lots of work to do, though.

Their 2nd game is really heartbroking for us Anyway this proves they have big improvement. Now they have to prepare for 2013 SEA Games. I hope they could upset more ASEAN teams there as some ASEAN teams could qualify for 2014 Women's Asian Cup with Thailand if they win their last game in their group And, PFF should also plan friendlies for our Malditas not just for the Azkals to further develop football here in our country. PFF could also host women's tournaments which is counterpart of Men's Peace Cup

the top two teams should advance in the next round. anyways, no matter what the result is, it's pretty clear that the Malditas has a bright future ahead of them

Wow, what an exciting string of results here for the Malditas. Imagine, play head to head with the No.25 ranked team in the world... RESPECT!

10 goals for. 1 goal against. And they are going home. In the past the WNT had low expectations. Now that they have high expectations a 1-0 defeat is devastating. On the other hand. the Bengalis are happy with a 4-0 loss. The Malditas have obviously moved up to a much higher class, not just within Asia, but in the world. While the Azkals may be happy to play against small countries or colonies that most people cannot find on a map, these results will certainly attract attention from World Cup contenders wanting to get a game against a quality opponent.

Indeed the Malditas showed a lot of class against Thailand, a team ranked way up higher. From now on opponents will be wary of our women's team. Expect higher ranking and more friendly invitations from other countries especially in the Middle East where the Malditas will not be wanting of supporters from our OFWs.

With a result like this against a team ranked as high as Thailand, it's not too far-fetched that we could mix it up fairly well against some of the best in the world. Nevertheless, still a lot of work to do. But with a pool of more than 50 players, Coach Ernie has established a promising future for both youth and senior teams. I would refrain from comparing/competing their success with that of the Azkals. The worlds of men's and women's football are way too different. Both teams deserve our full support.
