Vallacar Transit Incorporated is a conglomerate of bus companies under the Yanson Group of Companies, based in Bacolod City. It is the largest land transport company in the Philippines. It comprises Vallacar Transit, Inc., established in 1968, Rural Transit of Mindanao Inc. (RTMI), established in 1985, and Bachelor Express Inc., also established in 1985. This family-owned and managed business has grown from a lone 14-seater jeepney plying a single route, to a conglomerate of transportation companies with a combined number of operating units of a little almost 3000 transport vehicles as of January 2010, operating in nearly 80 percent of the bus routes in the Visayas and Mindanao regions as well as some part of Luzon in the Philippines. The company pioneered inter-modal services between Negros and Cebu, Mindanao and Leyte, and Panay and Luzon. It also pioneered inter-modal transport services utilizing the Strong Republic Nautical Highway from Cubao in Quezon City to Zamboanga City. The company currently sponsors the 2013 PFF-Smart National Championship winners Ceres-La Salle F.C. Salamat nga gipansin nimo ni, tabokanon. These buses have drawn my curiosity since childhood. Because I'm from Davao, I have ridden both the Bachelor Express and the Rural Transit buses when travelling to the north of Mindanao. (Me and my family travel to province most of the time.) At one time, I could easily point out which route does a certain Bachelor bus goes, just by looking at its body number! Also, I used to draw these buses when I was a kid. You get this sort of feeling of nostalgia or curiosity riding these things, because they are just so comfortable to ride on. I got even curious with their new units because of their peculiar interiors - plastic construction, black leatherette chairs, and LED lighting. Cheers!

Ceres FC is rich considering this bus company that supports them, who travels around phils. They must've a profit of more than 1 million a year. I'm just wondering why they don't join UFL?. With their financial capabilities, I think they are ready for UFL.

With their financial capabilities, I think they are ready for UFL. Yes, they're ready to compete in the UFL, and according to reports, they'll start first at the UFL Cup this year. But the Yanson Group are quite careful not to spend too much given they'll have to travel to Manila every weekend, like Cebu Queen City did. The bus company may be the largest, but they aren't exactly having high-value assets as their bus units (the bus bodies in particular) are self-assembled in Bacolod from mass-produced or surplus parts from China and Japan, and some units are even acquired from defunct bus companies they acquisitioned. Their direct competitor Philtranco have more valuable assets as their bus bodies, parts and everything are imported and custom-made in Japan and Europe.

I think the best way for Ceres FC is to be based here in manila or buy a land property here. So that their would be no travel cost, back and forth.

They already have a base in Batangas City for their blue Ceres Transport units. I think they already have enough resources. Mahirap nga lang if they found themselves spending too much in transporting their players from Bacolod to Cubao via RORO (takes around 14-16 hours IIRC). Their best option would be via plane, which is really expensive, not to mention their board and lodging while in Manila.

Ceres actually is waiting for the league to be professionalize so that they can play in a home and away games as their main market is visayas and mindanao region. playing in Panaad is way way better than playing in Rizal or Emperador stadium.

This company is also the Azkals transport provider whenever they have games in the Visayas especially in Negros. Ceres Transport has a terminal in Cubao, Quezon City I hope they expand in Luzon This company is one of the best sponsor to transport football clubs in case the PFF National Leage commences soon. This company supports PH Football growth

Expanding to Luzon will be very tough for Vallacar, as they will compete with the likes of Philtranco (their direct rival) and Victory Liner (which also supports a football team, Pachanga Diliman).

During the Philippines vs Mongolia match in Bacolod in February 2011, the team rode Ceres Liner #542. The electronic signboard even displayed "AZKALS - Team Philippines."
