The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) handed over the completed Goal Project 4 to the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) last Sunday, in Bukidnon. The Goal Project is a component of the development assistance of FIFA. This is aside from the monetary assistance given to all of FIFA’s member associations. Goal Project is for usually reserved for infrastructure projects and is awarded every two years. The grant can amount to $500,000 and is given to developing nations. All money related to the Goal Project is disbursed directly by FIFA. The new football facility is in Valencia City, Bukidnon, and is the first full training center in Mindanao. The full-sized pitch with natural grass comes with a building that includes a dorm that can hold up to up to 120 people, three lecture halls, and two futsal courts on the rooftop. The picturesque field is just off the national highway and is bordered on two sides by sugarcane fields and has a vista of Bukidnon’s green mountains. The five-hectare land for the facility was leased by Engineer Tony Gamboa and his family to the PFF for the next 25 years for an annual fee of P 1.00. Present for the ceremony were Engineer Tony Gamboa, PFF President Mariano V. Araneta Jr., Vice President Mike Batilles, Gen, Sec Atty. Edwin Gastanes, and members of the PFF congress. The PFF held their annual Congress in Cagayan de Oro city the day before. Bukidnon native and former Senator Miguel Zubiri was also in attendance. Azkals fans swarm Angel Guirado. seeking autographs. Ceres Lina FIFA Development Officer Domeka Garamendi, who is also a former General Secretary of the PFF, and FIFA consultant for Goal Project 4, Red Avelino were present for the hand over ceremonies. Also in attendance were National Mens Football Team players Misagh Bahadoran, Chieffy Caligdong, and Angel Guirado. The Azkals were deluged by young fans, who asked them to autograph shirts, gadgets, and even body parts. “I’m glad how football development in the country has changed in just a few years,” said Azkals skipper Chieffy Caligdong. “Masarap makita na maraming bata and mas active ngayon sa football. Kahit wala silang sapatos na panglaro makikita mo yung passion nila. Malaking bagay itong goal project para sa kanila, para sa bayan.” The next Goal Project will be built in Carmona, Cavite. Atty Edwin Gastanes says it will be the national training center for all national football teams. It will have a full-sized artificial turf and facilities. That project is scheduled to be finished by the later part of 2014.www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/338451/sports/football/fifa-hands-over-goal-project-4-to-the-pff

Football training center for national teams now being built in CaviteJoshua Lopez, News5 · Monday, December 1, 2014 · 9:27 pm The country’s national football teams will soon have a new home as no other than FIFA president Sepp Blatter on Sunday led the groundbreaking ceremony of a two-hectare national training center in Carmona, Cavite. The venue, which will house an artificial pitch, a separate grass pitch as well as a futsal field, is aimed to provide a regular training facility for the country’s national football teams. “It is good that the national teams will have their own home here. They know where they belong and know where they can come and they can practice and we are very happy to support it. In the past years football has improved especially your national team,” Blatter said. The Manila Jockey Club, operator of the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park where the facility is located, hopes that the venue would pave the way for a new football stadium that would serve as home of the Azkals and other national football teams. “Because if this will be the national training facility and possibly one of the main playing venues of the national team, we’re envisioning a viewing area of of maybe 20,000 to 30,000 because as football grows in the country, we have to take note of the infrastructure to support this growth,” Manila Jockey Club president Alfonso G. Reyno III said. The land is leased to the Philippine Football Federation for 25 years. The construction of the facility is expected to be finished next year. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/football-training-center-for-national-teams-now-being-built-in-cavite

Take the funding support from FIFA, but vote against Blatter. I wonder if the PFF will have the courage in doing the right thing. It's difficult to imagine the PFF going against Blatter and AFC and the stinky corruption smell that follows them because of all the support they've been receiving. On the other hand, Germany has been very generous, and if the German Federation decides to go against FIFA, makes me wonder whose side the PFF will be on.

FIFA Goal Project 3 breaks ground (The Philippine Star) | Updated December 15, 2014 - 12:00am MANILA, Philippines - Manila Jockey Club, Inc., through its partnership with the Philippine Football Federation – held a groundbreaking ceremony for the FIFA Goal Project 3 in the Philippines at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite. The centerpiece of the project is a 2-Star recommended artificial turf pitch which passes the FIFA quality concept for football turfs. The proposed National Football Training Center is now officially underway. The event was graced by FIFA president Joseph Blatter, AFC president Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, PFF president Mariano Araneta Jr., MJC chairman Alfonso Reyno Jr., MJC president Alfonso Reyno III and other football executives from FIFA and AFC. The event coincided with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Asian Football Confederation in Manila. It is expected that the PFF will move its main office within the location. The 2-Star artificial pitch will be the main training ground of the Azklas, the Malditas and other age groups of the national team. Support facilities such as dormitories and training rooms for football-related courses are also in the works. Plans for a football specific stadium will enable the venue to host international friendlies and other FIFA-sanctioned matches. MJC also plans to build additional football pitches, support facilities and in due course a football club and academy that will make it a center for football excellence in the country. The MJC was established in 1867. It is one of the oldest existing racing clubs in the Asia Pacific region. MJCI, as a business entity, was formally incorporated in1937. It operates the San Lazaro Leisure Park, featuring world class horse racing, gaming, and hospitality facilities. MJC rediscovers its place in football history By MST Sports | Dec. 07, 2014 at 12:01am CARMONA—Manila Jockey Club, Inc., the premier horse racing club in the country and one of Asia’s oldest, recently partnered with the Philippines’ governing body for football —the Philippine Football Federation, in putting up a FIFA 2-Star artificial turf football pitch and support facilities. The groundbreaking ceremony of the Goal Project 3 in the Philippines was attended by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter, AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, PFF President Mariano V. Araneta Jr., MJC Chairman Atty. Alfonso R. Reyno Jr., and MJC President Atty. Alfonso G. Reyno III. MJC was one of the first sporting clubs involved in football in the Philippines during the 19th century. MJC’s football team had the honor to play with and against the first Azkal–Paulino Alcantara. Today, the Manila Jockey Club reaffirms its role in the development of Philippine football. The artificial turf field will be the center of the proposed National Football Training Center in MJC’s San Lazaro Leisure Park. Plans are already being drawn to construct appurtenances as part of the project’s scheme. The FIFA 2-Star Certification will be awarded when the pitch is installed successfully and passes the International Artificial Turf Standards Testing. The pitch is expected to be complete by mid-2015. The project ensures that a consistent world-class standard surface used internationally will be available in the Philippines for our National Teams’ development all year round. With the MJC-PFF partnership, football growth in the country is assured through consistent infrastructure improvement and sound development programs. It is expected that the PFF will move their main office within the location. The 2-Star artificial pitch will be the main training ground of the Azkals, the Malditas and other age groups of our National Team. Support facilities such as dormitories and training rooms among others for football-related courses are also in the works. Plans for a football specific stadium will enable the venue to host international friendlies and other FIFA-sanctioned matches. MJC also plans to build additional football pitches, support facilities and in due course a football club and academy. In effect, the area turns into a center for football excellence in the country. manilastandardtoday.com/2014/12/07/mjc-rediscovers-its-place-in-football-history/So in essence MJC is returning to its roots more than a century ago, when it was one of many thriving football clubs playing in the country. Now if only some other entity resurrects the Bohemian Sporting Club(Alcantara's club) which was the most successful football club in the country in the early part of the 20th century, we can really bring some tradition back to Philippine football.

Anybody knows what happened to this project. It was supposed to have been partially funded by FIFA and finished last year, but I have heard no info about it, and it is already 2016.

Acc. to a post by Gedfroy Dientelo on pinoyfootball facebook, the PFF Training Center (Artificial pitch Fifa Standard size) in Carmona (Cavite) at 85% completion. It was said that aside from Turf pitch, the Training Center also has natural grass pitches for holistic football training requirements.
