hope to see him play again here in UFL Are you having my eyes out??!!! The guy was interesting to watch for about 10 minutes with his eye catching skills, but when was the last time there was an end product. The guy clearly has an ego the size of his head, which is massive!!!...... He plays for himself and not for the team. His skills, whilst they may be impressive to some, to anyone with a footballing brain are not productive and were detrimental to the Global style of play last year. I for one am glad to see him back in the country, to see his massive head sat warming the bench. I don't know if he has ego or attitude problems. But it shows in his game that he indeed play selfish football. He's really a good player minus the selfishness.

He's really a good player minus the selfishness. former Global FC coach Graeme McKinnon tweeted this quote "You can only lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" in response to someone who said Angel is being a ballhog in a particular Azkal game. He really have to reign in his tendencies if he still want to play under Dooley or any club for that matter who values team play & unity.

He came from the Spanish League, looked massively impressive for a while culminating in a great performance against Sri Lanka and after that he clearly thinks he is better than his team mates, opponents and Philippine Football. The reason he keeps ending up back here is either due to his ego, or the fact he cant get a game anywhere else in the footballing world. i would guess the latter as he would not get in a team I managed with that attitude. Give me a choice between Angel and Mark Hartmann any day of the week and there is no choice. The only thing Angel is better at is running round like a headless chicken.

I think many of you guys are being a little harsh. Cristiano Ronaldo(as well as other Latin greats) if I remember right, has also been accused in the past for being too selfish and individualistic and having a big ego. That hasn't stopped him from winning the FIFA Ballon d'Or award for being the best player on the planet( 2008 and 2013). That is their style of play which has made them successful in the past, sometimes to the detriment of their team. I think Angel could have remained in Spain, particularly if he signed with his home team, but I believe he chose to come back to the Philippines at this time for the same reason that Jason Sabio is coming back. The Challenge Cup is just around the corner and each individual Azkal player wants to contribute, to help the team win it and qualify for the high profile Asian Cup. I will leave it to Thomas Dooley to decide whether or not Angel's style of play will be helpful to the team. I am sure considering his emphasis on team play that he will stress to Angel what he needs to do to be part of the team again. I agree with you about Mark Hartmann though. His current league form has been impressive. Hopefully he can bring this form to the national team as well, which he hasn't proven he can do yet(at least in the 2 games he has played so far).

Give me a choice between Angel and Mark Hartmann any day of the week and there is no choice. The only thing Angel is better at is running round like a headless chicken. I've think I've said this somewhere here before but this is one of the things that really pisses me off. People like you live in sort of bubble where you have all these ideas, notions or theories or whatever and then you pass it off as fact and when someone tells you otherwise you brush it aside because you're hell bent on your ideas, notions or theories being true/fact when they're not. In this case you're making Angel look like enemy number one! When has Angel ever played like he thinks he's better than everyone else or as if he's got attitude problems?! People even say he dives a lot. lol! You (and perhaps a few other people) don't understand him as a player and therefore make crap up. The guy is 6'3 and wide bodied if you will. Yet his playing style is that of a flair player where they like to dribble and run at defenders and do a lot of flicks and tricks and all that stuff. It doesn't suit his physique and makes him awkward looking and it's why he stumbles once in a while and why he looks like a ball hog or a headless chicken even though he's not. Because of that his career is that of a journeyman and the only place where he can find any sort of stability is in Philippine football. If you don't like him that's perfectly fine but try to understand the player (or situation) before making crap up and passing it off as fact!!!

i'll choose angel over chieffy anytime. angel can be our super sub, creating spaces and threat in those late minutes. plus, phil had a good chemistry with angel.

If Angel gets a hair cut and a nose-reduction surgery, we're in business:)

Oh cmon, a diversion from the main topic here and there is to be expected, but past few posts have nothing to do with Ceres. People wanted to talk about Angel because they wanted to talk about Angel and no other reason.

Ceres' mettle will be tested - but I really like the ambition of this team.
