I don't know about you guys, but I prefer our players to be trained in leagues outside of the Philippines only because the UFL isn't completely developed yet. If Steuble can join a lower tier league in Europe elsewhere for less pay, I'd rather have that than him playing for Ceres FC. He will have much stronger competition out there. Don't you guys agree?

For a player like steuble, i personally dont want him playing here in the phils due to that concern.. I'm not worried he is clubless right now, he made news in switzerland, he's somewhat on the radar and can get a club anytime soon.

I like that to happen. But I don't think that Ceres could afford him. He is currently valued at £300,000 or more. That's roughly about 22 million pesos. Transfermarkt value is just a provisional transfer fee put by random users on the site and it doesn't necessarily corresponds with actual market value. Besides, if he's clubless, that means he's a free agent and he can sign any club for free so the market value becomes meaningless. So it's only the salary a club has to spend on him to sign him. I have no idea about the financial situation of Ceres or UFL clubs in general so i don't know how much they can afford for a player's salary, but one thing for sure is that most Swiss 2nd tier players get much less than £300K. thanks for clarifying that information.

At least they are at level with lower tier European leagues when it comes to salary and quality of play. And maybe generous enough to release their players for national duty compared to Thai Premiere League not to mention less travel time for them during training camps with the Azkals.

www.the-afc.com/en/afc-challenge-2014-cup-all-news/28717-party-time-in-palestine.htmlJust read on how everone is supporting the Palestinia Team. Big screen Projectors around their country. Every single palestinian citizen watching every single game. Even if they are still in a war. Their support for their national Team is miles from ours. I am not putting down anyone but. If our Azkals knew that almost every single filipino was watching their games. That would have been a boost for the team. My other point is. What if we had WON. would the whole Philippines go crazy? the answer would be not really..sure there would be some tv coverage.but after a fews weeks the casual fan would eventually forget.. because as a footballing nation. we still have a long long way to go for the philippines to really LOVE football..So the PFF seriously has to do everything to win The SuzukiCup..not the semis. not third place. But all out WIN the Suzuki Cup.. I've expressed the same sentiment before. The casual Philippine football fan wouldn't know how important the Challenge Cup is. As far as they are concerned, the Suzuki Cup is what matters due to its greater visibility in the local scene and its role in kickstarting this new Azkals age. Getting our Europe-based players is a challenge due to the timing. So it's also potentially a chance for the casual fans to see the improving quality of our UFL and UAAP players.

regarding the Suzuki Cup, I don't think we're going to win it either. I hope I'm wrong.

J League would be a suitable place for steuble Just wondering though. He really left WIL FC ..under mutual understanding. just to be with the Azkals.. If thats not "loving your country" then i dont know what it is..

The Peace Cup in September would be where our UFL players are tested. Also UAAP and NCAA Players would be given a baptism of fire against formidable opponents. What Dooley should try is PeaceCup would be more on The gelling of the Possible Final Roster for SuzukiCup. Winning Peace Cup would just be a bonus

The Palestinian football team is basically the only show in town, so to speak. They have yet to develop other sports. The Azkals, on the other hand, has to contend with other sports and teams. Not blaming the PBA and Gilas since they have already proven themselves on the Asian stage and are going on to the FIBA version of the World Cup, but there's also volleyball (with the Lady Eagles leading the charge), and to a certain extent, rugby (which has been playing the highest level in Asia for some time now). Had they qualified for the Asian Cup, would the Azkals have gotten the sort of exposure Gilas had after qualifying for the FIBA WC? There will be some changes, a few guest appearances here and there, but not yet on that level where everyone will be abuzz about them. Probably because of the casual fan's lack of familiarity with the players aside from the YH's, maybe because of the UFL's lack of presence.

Eager to see Azkals defeat this war Elephants, they really look us down as in they are heaven and we are earth.. They ruffhoused us last Suzuki Cup. But observe how they easily panicked and got nervous when Mulders scored. Wishing our team to give them a humiliating loss this time.
