okay lng yan bro. Beho...reminiscing the past good experiences in football...that's healthy for the thoughts. SMB at LA.Lakers fan nga ako... mga ka-berks ko sa high school into soccer sila, pero di man na-sustain. and some of them were soccer varsity players din sa ibang universities. It's nice to know na at least now with the Azkals mania...nabubuhay uli ang Soccer or Football now. sana nga tuloy-tuloy na ito.

adidas ang shoes nila lahat ;Dwell, during that time there were only about 3 local brands of soccer shoes in the market, one is made of low quality for the poor(grosby) obviously the cheapest at that time, second brand was made for the middle class like us (puma)double the price of grosby, & lastly for the elites hehehe(adidas) of course those shoes you saw in the pictures were sponsored for the national team, it's kind of expensive that time , the ratio was 3 to 1 when you talk about the price of puma & adidas, of course i was talking about locally made soccer shoes during the late 80's & early 90's, one pair of grosby soccer shoes costs around 150 pesos at the time hehehe, just do the math, sis ;D

Regarding shoes, do you guys remember the Adidas "seconds" that were sold at cheaper prices? I guess they were over runs or or shoes that had some factory defects. I bought those because the regular Adidas soccer shoes were expensive and hard to get here in the province. We got free Adidas stuff when we played in the Adidas Cup national tourney. It was like Christmas came early for the team. Cheap Robertson shoes were also good alternatives when you didn't have football boots. When I was a kid I also wore Grosbys and I still wish I kept a pair as memorabilia. The good old days . . .

i had my very first boot, a hand me down, in high school.
everyone plays barefoot at elementary. imagine an 8-team league where players play without shoes, except for 7 or 8 rich kids who can afford to buy one.
'twas an adidas inter-junior, the one with the parachute like material. i was reed thin then, so it lasted the whole four years.
