But Aly was born in San Fran.... that does make him a Fil-For, right? I have an American friend born in the Philippines coz his American father is a pastor from Texas, his mom is from Thailand. When he visits the States he is not considered an American-something, just plain "American". Why do we always put a Fil-something if we have a filipino born abroad or one of their parent is foreigner? I say lets call them Filipinos. yes, I agree

But Aly was born in San Fran.... that does make him a Fil-For, right? ;)but aly played serious football for kaya here in the phils. and if you notice he's one of the only few players who can sing the natonal anthem during the suzuki cup, my point is it was here in the phils. where he developed his football prowess.

Yes!! Buti may ganito na.
I have 2 favorite azkals.
First, obviously the reason why I took this forum name. Jason De Jong. I am a big JDJ fan. He's a workhorse.
Second is Captain Aly Borromeo. Homegrown talent.
Maling din ang Yhusbands.

I kinda got what you meant, but in pure honesty, he pulled a "Younghusband", lived and learned the game in US, got called to play for the Phils, and fell in love with the country so he decided to stay.
