The first goal has a huge impact and clearly affected the rest of the game.

Sa akin po, the Uzbeks are good, skillful and pin point passing, one touch crisp passing, good first touch and good in 1v1. Organize in attacking and defending, and very deadly in finishing. Sa azkals po, Malaki napo ang na improve natin, but I think we need to improve more on our composed finishing. Our holding mid sometimes wastes opportunity on passing for a better option ( vision) Sometimes when our center backs are fully pressed, our def mid don't drop down quickly. We don't execute more on combination play when attacking. Observation ko Lang po

On my way home from the stadium. I hear there's flooding so it'll be a challenge finding a way home. I thought the crowd was actually a decent size and it's the most spirited one I've seen in a long time. It's a shame about the loss. I'm hoping for much better in the future.

Our boys are not used to playing against a top caliber team like the uzbeks and it showed during the game..we may have lost but our boys gained so much experience from this game..kaya naman makipagsabayan ng ating azkals di ba? madami naman tayong chances na nakuha total shots natin 8, 13 sa uzbeks..

I think Etheridge will have nightmares about this game.. Oh, I agree. What I am really concerned with is has Neil been exposed at what he really is: A competent English League One 'keeper. Not of the quality you expect at this level of play/ Neil looked real bad on goals one and three. He seemed unsure of himself the entire match. The defense was of little help, mind you. But, Neil should have done much better.

This loss will clearly have an impact of our attendance for our future matches. What a sad day for all of us

Yes I agree that Phil has improved a lot.. It's just the Uzbeks were so good in finishing while we failed miserably on that department.. They are a team that will punish you for any lapsed in defending..Second half was a fine showing that could merit a win against Bahrain at anytime..the scoreline would have been more decent if not for the poor finishing.. I still believe though that Philippines can do better against north Korea even though they won over Uzbekistan.. Uzbekistan had problems with poor goal keeping and defending then which they have addressed already plus their best striker did not play

Neil was caught ball-watching a lot of times. He didn't even bother to dive to at least get a chance to deflect the ball. And, no, the rain should not be used as an excuse to get caught flat-footed time and time again. I've been saying this since 2 years ago, Muller is the better and more in-form GK since he gets to play regularly for his club team, unlike Etheridge who sat on the bench for a long time before going down to League 1 level this season. 1st 2 goals was on him. And, needless to say, that ruined our gameplan for the whole match. Also, playing 3 at the back against a strong attacking team is naive. We should be more defense-oriented at home since away goals can potentially break any ties in the future. Learn to park the bus Boringho Chelski-style, no shame in that. Heck, the current EPL title holders won it by basically playing that way most of the time .

The center of defense appeared to be missing an "old head." Our team has talented young defenders that show a lot of promise and is good for the team's long term prospects, but they are still quite a bit raw. Sa to was impressive though. Someone with Rob Gier's leadership, understanding/reading of the flow of the game as it progresses and experience might have made the score line more respectable. Uzbekistan was definitely the better team. Getting scored against within 45 seconds of kickoff obviously unnerved the team and it took them some time to regain some measure of composure, by which time it was too late.
Well, hopefully this result will make the North Koreans complacent.

And to think the Uzbeks lost 2-4 to DPRK in Pyongyang. Uzbekistan was missing some key players in that game and the coaching has been changed since then. Neil was subpar today and the slippery conditions did not help. We just need to regroup and do better next time. We missed Gier. There was nobody to settle the defence down after the series of early goals.
