With our ASEAN neighbor East Timor seemed intent in naturalizing Brazilian players, it's not surprising that they are and/or will be performing well in the WCQ matches. Below are some of those naturalized players which we should take note of: Heberty Fernandes de Andrade Recently naturalized; yet to appear for the East Timor National Team Current club: Ratchaburi (Thailand; since 2014); 45 appearances; 34 goals 2014 Top Goalscorer (Golden Boot) of the Thai Premier League (26 goals; 5 more goals than our Javier Patino's 21 goals) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heberty_Fernandes_de_AndradeThiago CunhaNaturalized in 2014; yet to appear for the East Timor National Team Current club: Chonburi (Thailand; since 2012); 48 appearances; 34 goals 2014 Third Top Goalscorer of the Thai Premier League (20 goals; just 1 goal behind Javier Patino) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiago_CunhaMost of their players are from Brazil, but I am not sure if they have East Timorese blood or just plain naturalized.

Current rules FIFA requires 5 years residence in the adopted country(usually employed in the local league) for naturalized players, so these players had to have at least East Timorese grandparents to be eligible to play for Timor Leste's national team.
