If we want to be the best in SEA, we must beat the best! Sooner or later, the Azkals will face one of these tough foes so I guess the road to finals is just getting difficult this time. On th other hand, we can watch some quality game live come November! An oh, Shrock just extended his stay till january 2016 so that is one good news!

This is Cedelf Tupas' interview with Thomas Dooley not really sure if he mentioned "Balut" (Doctora) who he says is now playing for Ceres and will most likely be available. But he is talking about the availabilty of foreign based players and Stallion FC captain Balut is definitely not playing for Ceres. The latest foreign based Azkals acquired by Ceres is Muller. Please help to decipher 😊

Dooley gives bright forecast for Azkals By JAELLE NEVIN REYES Philippine Azkals head coach Thomas Dooley said that his wards are in great shape and are ready to exact revenge on their Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup tormentors. “It can’t be better to have the three teams in our group who kicked us out the last three semifinals. It’s a great chance to give them the revenge and kick two out of the competition,” Dooley told The Manila Times. Dooley said that he is confident that he can assemble the best line-up for the meet. “Since the last year, we have had the majority of the starting players playing in the Philippine league. The level of our players here in the Philippines is rising and it makes it more difficult for international-based player to compete against them in the line-up.” Dooley also revealed that the Azkals plan to play five games in the next international windows to bolster the team’s capability for the AFF Championship. “I am working everyday to prepare the team for the next game. We have hopefully five more games before the tournament. Each and every game is the most important game at any moment,” he concluded. The Azkals will be hosting their regional counterparts in the group stage of the Southeast Asian football meet at the 25,000-seater Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan starting November 19. full article here: www.manilatimes.net/dooley-gives-bright-forecast-for-azkals/278645/

Actual war haven't started yet but casualties are already piling up. 1st its Simone Rota now Patrick Reichelt. I think they must try recalling the young but tested OJ Porteria. He declared that he is still open for national duty altho he is not match fit the hunger must have increased as he surely missed playing the game.

they said that Villanueva will be the other CB but he's too thin and too short to man the back. gotta watch for Grommen as he's most likely gonna take the defensive line soon. Reichelt suffered an ACL but it looks like Mike Ott will finally play for the NT so i hope he'll fill what we lost up front

A welcome development that is long overdue for Mike Ott.

Btw forgot to mention that Palla too is also on a long term injury. Are we witnessing another brewing animosity between Dooley and Schrock. "Perfect timing" if indeded there is.

l Rota did not only participate in the drills but the scrimmage too. He must have been recovering earlier than expected. But he is not in the call up list right? Maybe he filled up for Mike Ott who wasn't there physically. Anyway it's a welcome news if he cam still make the final cut for Suzuki Cup the team badly needs him.
