locotes: Bahay Kubo is a very good pinoy nursery song, but to use it as a chant for a football match? hehe i don't think it will be that great. Imagine foreigners will ask what that song means and we say its about vegetables. They will wonder why we're using that as a football chant. Anyway that's just my opinion.
"But the most important thing, that people don't understand, is that some people can build a football team. We try to build a football club."
"A football club needs a foundation, and that foundation is always with young people." --- Sir Alex Ferguson manager of Manchester United.
Tulad ng pinost ko na sa FB: I got the lyrics from The Ateneo Cadet Corps March (Tune: United States Field Artillery March Words modified from Boston College High School March) pero pinalitan ko ng konti... anyway, suggestion lang naman diba? hehe
With a shout, with a song We will help the boys along, Under banners of blue, red and white. While we do, while we dare, Proudly waving everywhere Are the banners with three stars and a sun...
For it's go go... Go, Azkals go, Hearts always loyal and true With the right our trust, Strive and fight we must Under banners of blue, red and white... Under banners with three stars and a sun...

Azkal, azkal, azkal ako isang tahol, isang dugo (it's part of the azkal anthem)
Please listen to this song:
By the way, whatever the group decides as a chant, it is important that 1.) they sit together during the game. This was one reason the planned chants/gimmicks during the SEAG didn't push through because the group was not able to sit together.
2.) Pinoy fans, as proven in the SEA games, want to scream. Because there was no football chant, did you know what fans ended up shouting? de FENSE!!!, de FENSE!!!, de FENSE!!!
P.S. To all those who posted youtube links of videos/chants, can you have it burned in a CD (Including the Azkal song). It would be better if we have this repeatedly played in Panaad an hour before the Feb. 9 kickoff. To give the fans an idea what we will be chanting...
I prefer chants in English as chants are meant to inspire the players to do their best. Since the common language that most of our team can understand is English, we should use it more often. Of course, we can also encourage the crowd to join us if we use the vernacular but I don't think I don't think most of you understand Ilonggo.
Anyways it's better if the chanting supporters group stay together with a capo or leader leading the chants so everybody is in tune. Try to practice prior to the game. Drums would be great but must be synchronized with the chants so you don't drown out the chants.
hehe, gusto ko sanang lagyan ng boses kaso, hehe di kagandahan ang boses ko... hehe pagtiyagaan niyo na lang
cheers!
-thanks summerwine. naaalala ko during intramurals, we used to have this as a beat also for our chant.
thanks bro. ...nice one!
btw, let's ask others for their affirmation. so we could practice on our own. we need familiarization of the chant and of course mastery of the whole composition. we must sit together, para mas buo at klaro pakinggan ang chant natin.

Just a thought.
-yes sir , i agree.
let's decide as to where we should position ourselves in Panaad Stadium. Any further plans?
you should group yourselves as the first AzKals Ultras ;D so that next time we could make our own props and other fireworks effects. we should get the SEA's best sideshows aside from the main match itself like the famous Ultras from Europe and S. America. I would gladly donate if a group such as this would exist and help in the solicitation effort.
Maybe in the future we would upgrade into a hooligan firm, Barra Brava or Torcida
Hey supporters groups are great but no hooliganism please with all the negative publicity it engenders. You don't want to strangle Philippine football at its rebirth.
Has anybody come up with a name for the supporters group yet?
kimnancy12: Fostering a strong fan culture is crucial for football's growth. Engaging fans through community events, outreach, and marketing, along with on-field success and local rivalries, can boost attendance.
