This is the kind of tournament the team needs.
Perhaps in the future we can schedule a tournament with South Asian teams such as Sri Lanka, Maldives and India since these teams are at-par with us and would give us a tough but yet winnable fight.
I am also willing to see a rematch with Maldives since they beat us, controversially, in 2009 during the 2009 Challenge Cup qualifiers.

Random question: SEAG is U-23, correct? if so, MNT will be playing this without our U-23 players in the national roster AND isnt there any other qualifiers that we would join this year after the Challenge Cup (when is the challenge cup, once we get through Mongolia [positive thinking])?

I don't see why our U-23 Azkals can't play at the senior level if given the call to do so. We're also joining the World Cup 2014 qualifiers.
I too would like to see a rematch with Maldives.

I agree with Caz. A rematch with Maldives on home soil would be awesome! I also like the idea of inviting other South Asian teams just for variety.

i prefer Central Asian Nations than those Countries from South Asia.. why not try to avenge our defeat in the hands of Turkmenistan?

;Dactually dati pa naging involve ang asia brewery sa phil.football. in reality way back in 1988, there was this 1st manila beer cup, this actually was the first asia-brewery sponsored football tourney it was also called the manila beer cup(in fact di ko alam kung me manila beer paba ngaun?)the games were held at the asia brewery compund at cabuyao, laguna. it was a tourney for fil-chinese teams(patriotic football team, cheng hua tigers, lions football club, etc)& our team (patriotic)was the first & only champions of this tourney (we beat the lions football club 5-3 during the championships)ONLY bec. that was it , there was no succeeding tournaments after that. the support coming from asia brewery was very short-lived & i really do hope that it won't be the case this time around wag sana mag ningas-coogon ulit. ;D
