My take: 4-4-2 Diamond -i agree to this line-up. I am hoping that they could practice with this playing position as well. so it wont happen again with case having of Sabio and Jonsson in the 1st team on the 2nd leg match vs. Mongolia but they're not present during series of team practice in Baguio and Japan. @logic, a ok well, if you would take a second look on the formation prepared by ceagle you can see that caligdong was placed in the right half-back position, & you said this is the line-up you liked, so that's why iwas asking that question about caligdong, anyways maybe you just did'nt notice that hehehe ;D

My take: 4-4-2 Diamond This is my formation without Lucena included in the first game against Myanmar. In this formation, the defensive midfield Jonsson, acts like a sweeper and can support the defence as well as be able to contribute to the offence. I like the idea of having an extra guy on defence and this provides that extra cover. Beho, bro., this is the lineup i was referring . this must be the playing position for chieffy , in the left-wing

I like the idea of having an extra guy on defence and this provides that extra cover. It also allow the 2 backs Gener and Del Rosario to perform overlapping maneuvers while right and left midfielders Younghusband and Caligdong, draw the Myanmar players in. If this is done, it requires that Gener and Del Rosario to have some speed which I am not sure they have. It also requires that the right and left midfielders to be able to play defence. There must always be defensive cover. With the addition of Lucena, Schrock and possibly Cagara in the future those elements and threats from the outside backs can be even more effective as they have the speed and crossing ability to fully utilize this formation. Cagara especially who plays left back has a sweet left foot who can deliver pinpoint crosses from what I have seen. Unfortunately he hasn't fully committed yet.

Normally, I would have De Jong in instead of SGreatwich and Phil Y for Espinosa. . Let Aldeguer create the opportunities.

Isn't it De Jong won't be joining the team vs Myanmar cause he's playing for some Indonesian League or something?

When Lucena becomes available in the 2nd game I will move him to attacking midfield, which he has played, to replace Greatwich in this formation: If De Jong is available as the inquirer suggests, I will place him at defensive midfield and place Jonsson at left back to replace Gener.

---------------etheridge
sabio-----gier-----aly------jonsson
---------------drosario
sgtwich-------------------caligdong
--------------jyhusband
----------------angel
------------------ian
guerridon can sub for ian, del rosario will have no problem playing defensive midfield,he used to play center back. this is a complete overhaul of the central midfield , james is hardworking and is capable of controlling the tempo from this position. this is the formation i want, coach W surely has a much different one in mind.
