Few hours to go, any news about the TV coverage or any links for the games. If they are blocking the internet at Myanmar, how can we even get a link for the game?
another thing, why did AFC grant them to host the game? We were not allowed to host Indonesia coz of stadium capacity and less lights.

Actually without live coverage, I am a little concerned about any shenanigans going on behind the scenes like shady refereeing or what not. Also the last international game hosted by Myanmar against the Indians resulted in bottles and stones being thrown at the players by the fans as this article reported:
Pre-Olympic Qualifier: Myanmar Fans Pelt Stones And Bottles On Indian Players Disgrace… By Rahul Bali 12-Mar-2011 12:40:00 PM
In what was one of the worst displays of hospitality and hooligan behaviour at it's best, Myanmar fans allegedly threw stones and plastic bottles towards the Indian players when the two teams clashed in the Pre-Olympic qualifier at Yangon earlier this week.
With India having the upper hand on the back of a 2-1 win in the home leg, until the half-time the hosts had failed to make any change to the scoreline. It was when the Indian players were heading towards the tunnel that bottles and stones were directed towards them though the players escaped unhurt.
“Until the half-time, there was no police on ground and it was only when the match commissioner intervened that the security was better,” informed an Indian official who was an eyewitness to the scenario.
Kyaw Ko Ko scored in the 64th minute and decided to do away with his jersey in his celebrations which drew the referee’s ire with a second booking to reduce Myanmar to ten men.
“The red card incensed the crowd further and every time our player would go for a throw-in, bottles were thrown.
“After the match when the Indian Ambassador along with the match commissioner came to congratulate us, the crowd started pelting stones. Everyone had to cover their head and walk out of the field.
“The match commissioner mentioned to us that he shall mention about the incident in his official report to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC),” the source told Goal.com.

Apparently some of these fans were arrested. India and Myanmar do have some history in the past(wars).

in my understanding, there is live coverage by the local media in Myanmar, but there's still no word on whether ABS-CBN will be allowed to tap into their satellite broadcast for live broadcast of the match.
pero yeah, with the kind of situation in Myanmar, you do get kinda concerned about what's gonna go down at the game, and that situation with India doesn't help with our fears.

Unfortunately this happens a lot in international football competition. Here in north and central america, US players have been hit by not only bottles and stones but also batteries, coins and bags of urine during WC qualifying. At Mongolia, I believe some hats and shirts(fortunately) were thrown at our players. The only thing officials can do is remind the hosts to beef up security and arrest the perpetrators. Football engenders a lot of passion in fans and sometimes they go too far. Fullscale fistfights and riots have also happened in the past and in one case in central america, a full blown war happened afterwards.

Stadium-wise, Myanmar really have a good stadium. The problem with Myanmar is their stadium security, earlier this month India played against Myanmar in the Olympic Qualifiers and Burmese fans threw stones and water Bottles to the players and the coaching staff, stadium security did not do anything to control the crowd until the commissioner did something. AFC really did a mistake choosing Myanmar as the group stage hosts.

Im not even sure if the real reason why it wont be aired LIVE coz the government wont allow it, I think this story was cooked by ABS-CBN. You dont get to host the competition if you cant meet one of the major requirements. We failed to host Indonesia coz we dont have enough lights. So if AFC knew Myanmar will have TV coverage problems, I dont think they would let them host it.

No live telecast on the games so far. Paranoid Myanmar has refused the Philppine request to send a camera television crew and has yet to give permission for a live feed on the first game bet. the 2 countries or even for a delayed telecast. Apparently they are now saying they might not be airing games where Myanmar is not included so possibly no telecast whatsoever. I think they are spooked by what is going on in the arab world. It sounds like the dark ages.
Here is from the azkals facebook:
RT@francistjochoa: Depressing news from a TV pal. MyanmarTV won't cover non Myanmar games. ABS-CBN not allowed to bring film crew. #Azkals TV airing in peril.

well, with the credibility of ABS-CBN, i tend to believe that all those no satellite feeds and no coverage for non-Myanmar games are all part of ABS-CBN covering their asses from a Solar/PBA suit.
all of these are plain BS from ABiaS-CBN so that they don't need to preempt the PBA schedule.
