;Dwho toldya that? ;D did you see the crowd? e wala pang bubung sa side nato you can just imagine kung gaaano kapuno sa me bubung na side , ok? Well it is different right now. Kelangan makahakot ng maraming students. And Visayas and Mindanao is the center of soccer in the country and my point also is this will help this regions economy. Manila has so much attention already. Vis and Min also need this for there economy. >:(with the renewed interests for football, kayang kaya rin ngaun punuuin to, ikaw puro sarili mlang ang iniisip mo paano naman yung mga fans na taga north wag kang bias di lang kayong taga visayas at mindanao ang gustong mapanood ang azkals live & stop drawing a line betweem the north & the south etc. dapat isa lang which is mabuhay ang PILIPINAS, that's it!!!!!

Mga bro i think we should give RMC a chance.....Let's meditate a bit......What if we advance to the group stage? that will be another 3 home games? so where would it be now....I think games should be brought to other places as well to futher give other pinoys chance to appreciate the game.......I know Bacolod Iloilo and it's heighbors have supported the game thru its ups and down....but now that it's getting a chance to flourish are we going to contain it to the areas where it is already love.....We have to share the game and let others experience the game live........ Suzuki Cup and challenge cup next year plus the WC group stage(if we could go as faras that)....that will be alot of home games if we could all advance so just wait for the venue ....and enjoy the Azkals rise to the Asian ranks

I still think that holding international matches in the Panaa-ad is fair to all football fans around the Philippines in terms of travel, both in the aspects of distance and effort. If the majority of football lovers are south of manila, it may discourage them from actually watching live matches especially those from Mindanao who have to travel the farthest. I vote Bacolod for this reason alone.

it is actually easier to get flights to Manila than to Bacolod. i am from Cebu but I can easily book a flight to Manila. Can even fly at noon and go back to Cebu after the game but for Bacolod, i have to stay overnight. even further south, it would be easier and cheaper to reach Manila than Bacolod.

well I'm from Las Piñas and it wold cost me just a little over a hundred pesos in fare to go to Rizal Stadium but would gladly watch an Azkals Match anywhere if budget and opportunity permits. But it is not always that most of us have both the budget and the opportunity, sayang kasi, there is always strength in numbers. A Manila-Bacolod venue rotation sounds promising at this point but the thread has the option of voting for only one.

conflicted ako.
i want sa rizal kasi i want na may chance din ang mga taga dito na makapanood live. and if we want the sport of football to grow dapat targetin natin ang lugar na di naman ito ang main sport. hence dito nga sa maynila, kasi wala gaanong support sa sport na to as compared sa vis/min when this sport wasn't noticed yet. and don't under-estimate the sense of nationalism ng mga pinoys. if they just see their countrymen united, they will surely feel proud and would want to be part of that.
sa panaad naman gusto ko rin. kasi it's a way of giving back to their huge support for this sport for so long. sinuwerte na tayo dito, so let's not ruin the flow. superstition nga lang, pero wala namang mawawala if you follow certain superstitious beliefs eh. tulong sa economy sa provinces, kasi puro na lang maynila/luzon. isipin niyo kasi kalagayan ng iba at huwag lang yung sa atin dito. buong bayan luzon/vis/min nagbabayad ng buwis pero tayo lang naman nakikinabang sa mga lrt/mrt, etc etc projects dito eh. and the people in the provinces are in reality OFW's in their own country kasi lahat ng job, business opportunities dito tinambak sa manila/luzon hence they have no resort but to go here. ang dapat sana is they spread these companies para lahat may opportunity.

I'm all for having a non-NCR centre for football, but I have to vote for the Rizal Memorial (considering only the stadium itself)
I'm considering (and assuming) that both stadia were similarly mis-maintained and needed some last-minute renovations before events. Also, being the capital, I think that an NCR audience will have its share of probinsyanos.
Bottom line is that the Rizal Memorial is just a better stadium, in my opinion. Until there is another stadium that has a fairly large seating capacity, I think it has to be held in the Rizal Memorial.

mga kababayan ko. let us be fair. hating kapatid. Manila naman. we know how passionate and popular football is down south, but lets give chance to our brothers here. maybe this will help spread the popularity of football and in turn bka dito magsimula ang pagdami ng football stadiums all over the country. win-win sa lahat.

May I remind you that the population of Metro Manila alone is 11 MILLION, and getting a few thousand people to watch a football match will not be a problem. I'd also like to point out that the heads of the PFF are mostly from outside NCR if I'm not mistaken, and whatever decision they make will not be made lightly. (I'm ending my "confrontation" here.) That being said, I suggest that you stop dissing Luzon, or any other region in the Philippines. That mindset will not help Philippine Football at all.

I like to see it played in Manila no disrespect to Bacolod. I want to see how big the hype is right now. I wants to see if we have enough fans willing to travel and can fill up 30,000 spaces .

A pic of the 1991 SEA games match vs Malaysia is posted, the bleachers on the east side of the stadium is full.
Compare the Azkals to our 1991 NT and the prevailing situations in both eras, Rizal will not only be filled, it will be packed!
I wouldn't be surprised if we hear of complaints from people who can't find tickets for the match.
