If not for the better video quality from Star I would also be watching at AkTV. The voice of the Singaporean commentator is really narcolepsy-inducing and he is really ignorant about how to properly pronounce the last names of our players. It's cringe-inducing hearing him murder "Guirado", "Caligdong", "Sacapano" over and over again. It reminded me of that Taiwanese commentator for the Jones Cup coverage who keeps mispronouncing all the Filipino last names in that annoying fake British accent.

pansin ko nga sa unang game sabe nang isang commentator no bias dw LOL e bias na bias e taga singapore ata un commentator nang unang laban. aBSOLUTELY CORRECT sir! i heard the commentator saying during the Viet-Myan match that he was singaporean and he was not trying to be biased, but "wished that Myanmar pull this off with a win." Star sports crew of suzuki cup 2010= same ol' self-centered monkeys in 2012.

We can't do anything about that, ESPN Star is based in Singapore. I still couldn't get used to hearing that very odd Singaporean English accent, it sounds like the worst combination of a Chinese-speaker & a British-speaker trying to sound like an American.

why were they keep on asking Cedelf so many questions and stuff when the FIFA introductions and the national anthem have been played already?

why were they keep on asking Cedelf so many questions and stuff when the FIFA introductions and the national anthem have been played already? I agree with you.. I Get mad when our national anthem was being played and those commentators are still busy talking, ano ba yung huminto muna saglit tapos after, dun nila ituloy ang pinaguusapan diba..

I still can't get out of my mind the way that Star Sports commentator uttered "GA-LAR-DO" all throughout the match in that weird Singlish trying hard fake British accent. Bleh.

Ill stick with AKTV. THOSE star sports crew are and always will be biased against the Philippines. Why? Most of the crew are fanatics and from singapore or malaysia. Well, there's always going to be bias when it's a Singaporean and Malaysian station. I'm a Barcelona fan, and I find it very painful to hear the English commentators in the Champions League be biased against them, saying random stuff like "what if Barcelona played Stoke etc." or the fact that they get sad when Barcelona score (especially the Iniesta goal vs. Chelsea in 2009 lol) and jump for joy when Chelsea score. Then I realize they're English: they'll always cheer for the EPL teams in the CL. So it really doesn't bother me much if I think of it that way. Also, I'd rather have football-smart and biased English commentators over neutral dunno-what-they're-talking-about US commentators. Good to hear that the pinoy stations are bringing in football people to commentate rather than their PBA crew.

What I Like most are the ARAB commentators hahaha Specially when someone scored and they will shout goaaalll... Anyway, I Hope that commentators on AKTV will step it up next time. Specially kapag mag start na ang game tama na muna ang chitchat.

"BA-LA-DO" is being compared to West Ham's Andy Carroll by the Star Sports cockney commentators. Haha. I hope BALADO does not inherit Carroll's goal-scoring drought . Andy is as overrated and overpaid as Fernando Torres, who had an 8-month long goalless drought last year. Lulz.

You can hear Phil or James singing at the background in Star Sports. But I watched it on AKTV to boost the ratings (don't know if they count people on cable).

I don't know how he is real life but Armand sounds and looks smarmy on TV. ;D
I also hope the AKTV panel, lessens the superfluous chatter and the talking over each other. Though I'm gonna cut them some slack since some of them prolly still have some jitters being on live TV and their first time on cam.

It looked like Leisure Suit Larry / Hans Bigalow, Male Gigolo came to the AkTV studio "loaded", if you know what I mean . Many of his comments were really off-topic and nonsensical. "Ed Sacapano, hindi ka na tatangkad", "lasingin mo kami Dan Palami", mentioning Kia in a tournament sponsored by Suzuki, etc.

I Don't like Hans Smith he said "Mulders is a waste" I Hope someone from that station or near to him can read my opinion here. "Hans Smith, He is the waste" look at him on camera.. I Hope AKTV will realize how to get a decent commentator next time. Sorry guys if I offended someone here but it's just my observation.
