Wow ganda ng damo sa Panaad. Sarap magpa-gulong-gulong.
With some key players not available and a lower ranked opposition, I expect Weiss to experiment more. Maybe let Misagh start? Use Neil and Muller at the same time (Neil at GK and Muller as sweeper lol)? OK I'm just kidding.

so who is still going to be available for this match? anybody knows if cagara, lucena, mulders, neil, mueller still be there?thanks OTT and Caligdong suspended. Christiaens and Angeles to Thailand to join U22(?) Juani and Angel going to Spain for wedding ? If that's the case, then we will be able to field the squad who played in the last ten minutes of last night's game before the altercation.

Though I think he first started as a striker. ;D

Maybe I'm being overconfident, but I think that Guam should not be a problem for the Azkals.
I feel sorry for Guam, though. I think we all know how it feels to have a national team that is the regional doormat.

I can already predict haters noting that the Guam squad has more Filipino sounding names than our own squad!

Yeah, and those haters would rather support Guam because they're "nationalistic" like that

Azkals battle Guam in Panaad on June 12By Butch Bacaoco Thursday, June 7, 2012 TO CAP its three-nation friendly games, the Philippine national football team Azkals will battle Guam's national team at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Mansilingan, Bacolod City, 7 p.m. of June 12. This Independence Day football extravaganza is brought to football-crazy Negrense fans by the Visayas Football League headed by Junie Lizares, disclosed event organizer Pinky Abaño of Pink Idea Production. Have something to report? Tell us in text, photos or videos. Among other sponsors are ABS-CBN, Smart Communications, Pepsi Cola, Gatorade, Nature's Spring, Kia, SVG Fertiplus, Havainnas and Libresse. Abano said the Azkals are expected to arrive on June 9, while the Guam shinbusters will plane in on the following day. Tickets for the game start at P200, P400, P600 and P1,000. Fans who opt for the P1,000 and P600 tickets are guaranteed with reserved seats at the grandstand where they can have an unimpeded view of the Azkals vs Guam tussle. Tickets are available at Luxur Place, Mushu, Robinsons Place, Sky Cable, Seeds Outlets, Scrubbles at 888 China Town Square, Shakey's Lacson, Café Bobs, ABS CBN and the Provincial Tourism Office. On June 12, tickets will also be available for sale at Panaad starting 9 a.m. In an earlier separate interview, Philippine Olympic Committee chairman Monico Puentevella opined that Negrense football fans will surely get a treat of the Azkals' scoring prowess, considering that Guam is not a very highly regarded team. As of FIFA's June 2012 ranking, Guam's men's football team is listed at 194. The Azkals is at 149. www.sunstar.com.ph/bacolod/sports/2012/06/07/azkals-battle-guam-panaad-june-12-225599

Most GUM players came from Philippine descent. It has connection with history hehe Not really. Less than half of the Guamanian players are of Filipino descent. Majority of Guamanians are native Chamorros, who are of the same Austronesian racial stock as us. Their Spanish-sounding surnames were also derived from the registry developed by the same Spanish conquerors of the era. We do share some cultural similarities with the Chamorros, though. I begun to think of Jonah Romero. His father is actually Latin American from El Salvador. His mother is Chamorro from Guam. And really, he looks like the typical Spanish-Filipino mestizo.

good move for our coaching staff. Muller and Etheridge are not sure with their availability in the Suzuki cup so we have to depend on our homegrown players
