I have never seen a tournament where all the awards are given to one team. That does not reflect well on the host and the awarding committee. Certainly a lot of our players deserve those awards, but maybe they should have given a few to another team.
One award that I would like to have given though is the most promising player award, and I would reward that to OJ Porteria who at the age of 17 shows a lot of promise even at the senior level. I am looking forward to how he develops in the next few years.

I Agree with you guys some awards like Fair Play should have given to the other participant of this tournament since we are the host team, Anyway everyone from the NT deserves what they've got.. Congratulations Philippine Azkals..

The awarding would have been satisfying also if they let the other matches televised, not just the Azkals... I guess

Congratulations Azkals for winning the PEACE CUP!
P.S. I like Porteria's goal most of all in the PEACE Cup. Two assists that I like are from Omphroy and Porteria which led to the goals made by Dennis and Patrick.

Congratulations Philippine Azkals.. I believe that the Fair Play award went to the team with the least number of yellow and red cards. I might be wrong though.

Oo nga, e. Other countries might be discouraged in joining a tournament we're hosting because they'll think we're rigging all the awards.

Good for the team but I don't really buy the hype around the first title in 99 years thing. Its your own tournament, sure you won, but really, its like playing with yourself.
I'm taking offense to what Coach Weiss said in his post-game interview though, especially about "primadonnas".
Coach McMenemy had some tweets that echoed my thoughts: @simcm7 I take offence at that statement. All those boys were\are hero's. No expensive training camps, no facilities, or "help from Germany"
@simcm7 Just pure heart, guts and Philippino pride. Talk after Suzuki Cup.. Not before. Make the final then talk of improvement.

I didn't realize that the players climbed over the fence to celebrate with the fans but here they are.
