Cheffy is one of the untouchable players, even though there are players who are more better than him, he will still remain in our first 11 or at least in our team roster. we know Reichelt is more better and smarter player than him but we don't have the power to remove the armed forces players in our NT

The guy's not making difference at all, i mean why not try to push in young-potential-strikers than the old-well experience-unperforming front man? nuff said.

Im a big fan of Chieffy since I saw him play. But from what his been showin us lately Im kinda disappointed. There are instance were the team is on their 5 to 7 passes and the whole play die once he gets the ball, coz he either dribbles to much, makes wrong decision or takes a poor shot(ball hog).
As for Araneta, There is no hope for him. He should be replaced ASAP.

Rizal Stadium to host inaugural Paulino Alcantara Peace CupKarl Decena, InterAKTV · Friday, August 31, 2012 · 1:35 am The Philippine Football Federation changed the venue of the inaugural Paulino Alcantara Peace Cup, a tournament that will pit Philippine national men’s football team against Chinese Taipei, Macau and Guam in September. Initially slated at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City, the four-nation meet will instead be played at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. The tournament hailed from the annual Long Teng Cup, which officials from Chinese Taipei, hosts of the tournament’s last two editions, decided not to organize. “It is logistically more feasible for the PFF to hold it in Manila,” PFF President Mariano Araneta said in a press conference at the PFF office in Pasig. The change of venue came as a surprise, as the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium was initially planned to be renovated from August to September, which made the PFF choose Bacolod City first as the host. However, the project, funded by FIFA which will turn the football field in Rizal Stadium into an artificial turf, didn’t push through. Araneta added that conducting the tournament in Manila will lessen the expenses of the PFF in the event, which is estimated at P6 million. “We can get more support from the private sector here in Manila,” Araneta said. The Azkals will face Guam on September 25, Macau on September 27, and Chinese Taipei on September 29 in a round-robin format. The team with the best record wins the tournament. With the two-time Long Teng Cup champion Hong Kong not playing in the tournament, Araneta picked Chinese Taipei as the biggest hurdle the Azkals will face to win the crown. Currently ranked 175th in the world, Chinese Taipei forced the Filipinos to draws in the past two editions of the Long Teng Cup. However, Araneta believes that the result may change now that the Azkals will play in their home turf. “It might be different if we play them here,” Araneta said. Meanwhile, fans who have already booked flights to Bacolod will be able to get free tickets in the games by sending proofs of the purchase of the plane tickets to the PFF. The Azkals will be using the tournament to prepare for the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup in November, in which they look to surpass their historic semifinal run two years ago. The Paulino Alcantara Peace Cup is named after the Filipino-Spanish mestizo who starred for FC Barcelona over a century ago. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/rizal-stadium-to-host-inaugural-paulino-alcantara-peace-cup

RMSC pitch ready to host Peace CupBy Olmin Leyba (The Philippine Star) Updated August 31, 2012 12:00 AM Comments (0) View comments MANILA, Philippines - With the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium now available after its renovation was put on hold, the Philippine Football Federation has moved its four-nation Paulino Alcantara Peace Cup set Sept. 25-29 to the Manila venue from its original site in Bacolod. “The only reason for us to propose the tournament in Bacolod before was because Rizal was not available,” PFF president Nonong Araneta explained in a press conference announcing the change in site for the bootfest featuring the Azkals, Guam, Chinese Taipei and Macau. Rizal Stadium was supposed to undergo renovation and conversion into an all-weather artificial turf under the Fifa Goal Project 3 by this month, forcing the PFF to bring the Cup to the City of Smiles. However, the facelift was stalled due to issues over “control” of the facility, which is managed by the Philippines Sports Commission. The PSC wouldn’t relinquish control of Rizal Stadium to the PFF, which is part of the stipulation of Fifa in approving grant for the project. While the parties renegotiate the terms of the contract, the Rizal will continue to be maintained as a grass field. Araneta and PFF communications and marketing head Ebong Joson said staging the Cup in Manila will be more cost-effective. “We will be reducing costs by holding the tournament in Manila,” said Araneta, while assuring football hotbed Bacolod that “we will still hold matches there in the future.” “All our resources are in Manila,” said Joson. “Now that Rizal became available, holding the tournament here will enable us to organize the games more efficiently for all the teams who will be arriving.” The Paulino Alcantara Peace Cup will serve a key ingredient for the Azkals’ buildup for the AFF Suzuki Cup. It will also be a part of the activites in the Peace Month in September, as per PFF’s partnership with the Office of the Presidentail Adviser on the Peace Process. www.philstar.com/SportsArticle.aspx?articleId=843727&publicationSubCategoryId=69

Guam "Matao" Back in PI for Azkal Re-MatchLast Updated on Monday, 03 September 2012 11:50 Written by Jill Espiritu Monday, 03 September 2012 08:16 Sports - Sports News Guam - The Matao’s return to the Philippines to play in a soccer tournament that will include a re-match against the Azkals, will not include a flight to Bacolod as originally planned. The Philippines Football Federation recently issued a news release announcing that the venue for the Paulino Alcantara Peace Cup, formerly the Long Teng Cup, has been shifted from Panaad Stadium in Bacolod to Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila. Dates for tournament games – Sept. 25, 27 and 29, have not changed. “We’re very grateful to have been invited to play in the tournament,” said Matao assistant coach Jimmy Okuhama. “Although the original venue has changed, we’re still going to focus the same way we have been during training sessions. “We met some great fans in Bacolod the last time we played there, and we hope that they’ll be able to come and join the fans in Manila to watch the games. We also hope our fans here in Guam can attend, too,” Okuhama added. Rizal Memorial Stadium has a seating capacity of about 13,000 after its most recent renovation in 2011 to meet FIFA seat measurement regulations, as reported by several Philippines media. During the Matao’s training trip in June, the team had the opportunity to play two matches at Rizal Memorial Stadium against Global FC and the Penson Stallion FC Gilligan’s, both professional teams in the Philippines’ United Football League (UFL). Global FC finished the most recent UFL season as champions, while the Penson Stallion FC Gilligan’s, which played its maiden season in Division I, finished in a respectable fourth-place spot, the UFL Web site states. The Matao last played in Panaad Stadium in Bacolod against the Azkals June 12 in a FIFA-friendly match. Although the Guam team kept the Azkals scoreless in the second half, its opponents were able to score three goals in the first half. The decision to move tournament games to Rizal Memorial Stadium was based on logistics and resources, as well as the suspension of renovations at the Manila stadium, according to the PFF news release. “All our resources are in Manila,” said PFF Communications Marketing Head Richard “Ebong” Joson, in the news release. “Now that Rizal Memorial Stadium became available, holding the event (in Manila) will enable us to organize the games more efficiently for all the teams who will be arriving to participate in the tournament.” The Matao will join the Azkals and national teams from Chinese Taipei and Macau in the single round robin tournament. As of Sept. 2, the Azkals are the highest FIFA-ranked national team in the tournament at No. 150 in the world. Chinese Taipei is next at No. 175, while Guam, after moving up 10 spots, currently sits at No. 184. Macau is ranked No. 201 in the world out of 209 FIFA-member nations, the FIFA Web site states. www.pacificnewscenter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=26874%3Aguam-qmateoq-back-in-pi-for-azkal-re-match&catid=38%3Asports-news&Itemid=152
