There's still plenty of Middle East countries to choose from. Not Available: UAE, QAT, IRI, IRQ, JOR, OMA UAE has friendly match. The rest are vying for a spot for FIFA WC Asia contenders -some info from jonny Available: KUW, KSA, PLE, YEM, SYR, LIB* *although LIB is vying for spot in FIFA WC Asia contender, in their schedule, there are no games for Oct 12 and Oct 16 as games are for fellow teams in group Who knows BHR organizers could also pick a country from Greater Middle East region but I presume it could be from the 6 available above. hehe Let's gun for Kuwait then, we were able to pack the stadium the last time we played them. But any team of the six mentioned should be great for the azkals. ;D

Looks like we will face Kuwait on Oct. 16. Although it's still not up yet at the FIFA website.
----------------------------- 2 ‘friendlies’ added to Azkals tough skedBy Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer 12:25 am | Monday, August 27th, 2012 TWO more friendly matches against formidable international sides have been confirmed for the Philippine football team preparing for the AFF Suzuki Cup in Thailand. The Azkals, who already have six matches lined up in September, will have two more tough assignments in the next two months, facing Kuwait on Oct. 16 and Singapore on Nov. 15 before they plunge into action in the Suzuki Cup in Bangkok from Nov. 24 to 31. Philippine Football Federation president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta said Kuwait has agreed to host the October friendly, which comes after a weeklong training camp in Manama, Bahrain. Though nothing more than Fifa ranking points are at stake, the Azkals are still out to settle a score against Kuwait’s Al-Azraq, who booted them out of World Cup qualifying. The Azkals lost 1-5 on aggregate, yielding 0-3 in Kuwait and 1-2 in the return leg in Manila in July last year. The Azkals, who are coming off a two-week training camp in Chicago, will also face Bahrain on Oct. 12. The match against Singapore on Nov. 15 will be staged in Cebu, marking the first time the Queen City of the South hosts an Azkals match. It will actually be the second meeting between Singapore and the Philippines, which will also square off in a friendly in Singapore on Sept. 7. The Azkals have five more matches in September, beginning with a duel with Cambodia on Sept. 5 in Phnom Penh and a showdown with Laos on Sept. 10 in Vientiane. Veterans Phil and James Younghusband are expected to be back in the PH side after missing training camp in Chicago because of other commitments. Phil, the top scorer of the AFC Challenge Cup last March, has reiterated his commitment to the national side. “I’m very committed; I start training in a few days,” said Phil after scoring a hat trick for his squad in a 5-1 win over a team bannered by older brother James in a charity match Saturday night at the University of Makati field. sports.inquirer.net/59822/2-friendlies-added-to-azkals-tough-sked

With word flying around that we might face Kuwait in October, here's a semi-related article:
KUWAIT NATIONAL TEAM COACH SHOT, IN CRITICAL CONDITION
Police say Kuwait national team football coach Goran Tufegdzic has been shot in his native Serbia and is in critical condition.
Police in the central town of Pozarevac said Sunday that Tufegdzic was shot on Friday in the chest by his neighbor after an argument over a plot of land. He was taken to a Belgrade hospital in serious condition.
Tufegdzic, who has worked in the Middle East for a decade, was appointed Kuwait coach in 2009. He took the team to the 2011 Asian Cup and helped it win the Gulf Cup in 2010.
Kuwait Football Association Chairman Sheik Talal Al-Sabah says he has spoken to the coach's wife and hopes ''his health improves and that his family endures this crisis.''

These are some of my thoughts for Middle East Camp:- Since this is in FIFA match dates, expect the services of Europe-based players.
- This could be the most crucial training of PHI for Suzuki Cup.
- Since Azkals improved, I could see a stiff competition against KUW and BHR.
- OFWs in the Middle East will surely don't miss this Who knows we could outnumber the home crowd there ;D
More thoughts soon

Good News! Azkals to face mighty Kuwait again in October friendly!Karl Decena, InterAKTV · Wednesday, August 29, 2012 · 1:14 am The Philippine national men’s football team has added a match against a familiar foe as part of its preparations for the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup. The Azkals will face Kuwait in a friendly match on October 16 in Kuwait City, just days before playing against Bahrain in Manama on October 12, according to the latest fixtures released by Fifa.com. Filipino fans still remember Kuwait for ending the Azkals’ campaign in the World Cup qualifiers in July 2011. The Azkals suffered a 3-0 loss in the first leg in Kuwait City before yielding again, 2-1, in the second leg of the match in Manila. Aside from looking to gain points to improve their world ranking that now sits at 150th, the Azkals are using the matches to prepare for the Suzuki Cup in November, where they aim to duplicate their historic semifinal finish two years ago. www.interaksyon.com/interaktv/azkals-to-face-mighty-kuwait-again-in-october-friendly

I expect most of our Euro-based players will come and play here. Since there is a 2 week break by that time. Current temperature there by Oct. is like Manila 25 to 33 celsius hehe
