It's good to see that YHS are back and the problem is solved I do hope they play first in Singapore on Oct 7 for Leg 2 of LMS game before heading to BHR. Because we already know our line-up, we can now make your favorite starting 11 GK: Muller FW: P. Younghusband, Wolf If difficult to pick for our defender and midfielders for having a bunch of good players BTW. Where's Schrock? There will be a 2 week break in the Bundesliga Next Game: Munich vs Hoffenheim Oct 6 9:30pm Manila Time (3:30pm Local Time) Game after Camp: Hoffenheim vs Greuther Fürth Oct 20 2:30am Manila Time (8:30pm Local Time Oct 19)

i wanted to see a 4-4-2 formation (Phil and Wolf upfront) against a formidable opponent and see if we can compete against them. but based on the previous formations against a strong opponents, we were using a 4-5-1 formation.
sad to know that after playing a decent game in the Peace cup, Moy was left behind. Margarse and Araneta shouldn't be part of the squad anymore

WOW. Strongest lineup ever assembled. Certainly our Peace cup Azkals will challenge our Euro-based/Star Azkals for the starting lineup, though i can only see Christiaens, Omphroy, Matthew Uy as 60% shoo-ins to start. Wolf will be back as a supersub. Why is Moy NOT included? Sabio out due to injury. Ian Araneta should not be included, or maybe its just delicadeza on the part of management. My starting XI: Muller De Murga---Juani G.----Gier----Cagara OR Christaens JYH OR Omphroy---- Matthew Uy----Mulders----Caligdong Angel G.----PYH SIX Super Substitutes: Lucena, Wolf, Riechelt, Jonsson or Marwin Angeles, plus the two optional starters as abovementioned. Deep Reserves (Highly unlikely to suit up): Bahadoran, Anto Gonzales, Araneta, Margarse, Jason De Jong, and *OJ Porteria, just because Angel and PYH are there

I'm gonna put Jerry Lucena over Matt Uy. And please, good LORD! Can the management stop putting Margarse and Araneta on the line-up? Can someone here in the forums have the balls to tell them that 99% percent of the Filipinos don't want them in anymore? Urgh! They are definitely with NO USE. Pwedeng sa Coaching Staff nalang sila isama? Wag na sa line-up. No offense guys but you all know why.

With the way Coach Weiss makes his plays here's a possible line up for the Bahrain match.. I doubt Gier would be playing since he has been out on injury for his club. So I would expect Jonsson and Juani for CB and Cagara on LB. I believe this is Dennis Cagara's natural position and with his speed and size he would be dangerous on the overlaps. I've seen him do this with Chieffy in previous matches. Jerry Lucena would surely be placed as DMC. Anto and Mathew Uy can sub in for him. Paul Mulders would get the nod for CM. Chieffy would still surely get his spot. But if I were to decide I would rather want Christaens playing on that side. If the coach has indeed resolved the issues with the brothers, We could see James YH playing AMR.. But if not, expect Reichelt or Omphroy starting. Wolf, has been playing a deep lying forward lately so I think he would still play that part. If the Coach decides to play PYH, he could play as a Target Man but if not. Expect Angel Guirado to be playing that part.

So many options for Coach MW. Its a healthy challenge for him to decide which of which he will start.
Though I expect him to play different starting squads against Bahrain and Kuwait, with his FINAL LINEUP culminating versus Singapore in november.
Most interesting battles for position: #1 is a three-way amongst Riechelt vs. Omphroy vs. James Younghusband (the only thing going for James is his perfect chemistry with Phil, as Omphroy has impressed with his creativity in the pitch in terms of playmaking. BUT, If Rob Gier is injured, i expect JYH to tag along with Juani G. at the back, so that leaves a toss-up between Riechelt-Omphroy.)
#2 is Wolf vs. Guirado (though Guirado has a slim lead over this one, as Guirado has been more superior in the air and more consistent, though Wolf's golden boot nod certainly dispels any doubt on his striking capacity)
#3 Lucena vs. Matthew Uy (Lucena has the experience, but he can still serve well as a subtitute. Also in Rob Gier's absence, Lucena may be utilized as a center back)
#4 Three way again among Jonsson vs. Cagara vs. Christiaens (I see Cagara having a slight lead over the two, but Jonsson is the veteran, so seniority-wise he deserves to start). I don't see Jonsson as a CB since he's quite short (5'9") for that position and we are facing tall opponents in the Mid-east camp.

I guess MW will choose Dennis cagara as LB since he plays German style LB and that's what MW wants. I won't put Dennis Wolf behind PYh, I rather make him as a super sub and put Juani beside Jerry as holding mids. I also guess that Rob Gier will be playing and start in those matches. So both Dennis Cagara and Carli overlap, Rob Gier and Ray Jonsson stay at the back. So it's basically, 4-5-1 for me. JUST MY OPINION. Muller De Murga---Gier---Jonsson---Cagara Lucena---J. Guirado--- JYh---Mulders---Caligdong PYh

good ovservations, but i would prefer Lucena to play at CB than Jonsson. Ray is a natural winger converted as a fullback. Jerry has already played as a CB for us a couple of times already. If i were to decide i would start Omphroy at RW, he is better than James though the experience and chemistry with his brother Phil would give James an edge over Demit. i know Weiss' plan is to play a 4-5-1 formation against a stronger opponent but i would like to see an attacking formation and see if we can deliver . this is my starting XI
Muller
De Murga -- Juani -- Lucena -- Cagara
Omphroy -- Uy -- Mulders -- Caligdong
Wolf -- Phil

I don't think Cagara and Gier will be available for this training camp... with the absence of Sabio looks like someone has to play out of position at CB again... De Jong against Taiwan(silly tackle that lead to a Taiwan penalty) that he should not be part of the back 4... This is my Starting 11..
Muller
De Murga - Lucena - J. Guirado - Jonsson -------------Uy Omphroy - Mulders - Christaens ----------A. Guirado -----------PYH
Subs: JYH, Wolf, Caligdong, OJ, and Reichelt, Angeles

I think MW is really looking into chemistry between players. Certainly the James-Phil cohesion can't be overlooked but Omphroy and Wolf have showed a good connection to the entire team. We'll have to wait and see how this camp goes to see which combination of players provides the best effectiveness as a whole. Very very interesting time to be an Azkals fan!
