we still have chances to end up as a group A leaders if Thailand will take Vietnam lightly and loses their last game, and we win by more than four goals against Myanmar. that would mean Philippines and Thailand will have six points each and it all matters to GD/GF/GA at the end

I hope we win for Friday's game as it coincides with Bonifacio Day (his b-day) and Thanksgiving for St. Pedro Calungsod. Let this win be a treat for these celebrations
By the way, before the Azkals game against SIN in Cebu, They prayed at Calungsod's national shrine. I think Calungsod guided their play in Cebu I hope he'll guide us for Friday and hoping for a win against MYA Courtesy of Goal.PH

Myanmar shouldn't be underestimated. They are a very dangerous counter-attacking team, especially with that pacy No. 8 forward of theirs, Ky Lin? Our backline isn't that fast, though Cagara might be able to handle him. It was noted here that Lin is positioned on Cagara's side, but he usually plays as a lone striker so he will be roaming across the front of our backline looking for that outlet pass from his defense or midfielders.
It is good that Myanmar is obligated to play for the win. They cannot wait for us to get at them and try to hit us on the counter exploiting Lin's pace to get behind our backline. They need to bring the game to us. This will allow us to play compact and congest the midfield. Their defense is susceptible, but they will need to move up and this is where our chances to score will come from.
Anyway, however the team sets up or chooses to play this match against Myanmar, they better get the first goal. The team can allow themselves to be patient and therefore be more compact. A slow tempo to the match should favor our team as well.

With Jonsson out because of injury and Lucena leaving... We might see the Peace Cup boys start here... probably Carli or Omphroy at RB if healthy and Angeles for Lucena at MF.... But I really wanna see greatwich get some minutes out there...

So it turns out that their is a change in venue so that both final group matches can be played simultaneously and preclude any "game-fixing" and intentional throwing of the game. We need a win because VIE would push all out against a THA team that would be taking it easy in order to rest & protect their most important players for the semis.

Tanong lang guys... IF we draw Myanmar and Vietnam wins against Thailand.. Philippines and Vietnam will have 4 pts. each... what is the rule of AFF Suzuki Cup in a tie break situation... Is it win over the other or GD??? I remember last Euro 2012 where a team advance because they beat the team which they were tied in pts. and that other team had a better GD...

goal difference first priority. then goals scored, then head-to-head results.

Its between Greece and Russia I don't know what are the rules in EURO 2012, Greece advanced. Hindi ko yan makalimutan kasi si Pogrebnyak ng Russia na naka loan sa Fulham dati wala sa starting 11 vs Greece. When he played around late in the second Half he really played well, but it's too late for Russia. Greece 1 - Russia 0 , Russia had a better GD here I Don't know if ganito din ang rules sa AFF Suzuki Cup sana ganito din since nanalo tayo over Vietnam. Edit: 1. Points - 2. GD - 3. GF - 4. head to head ang rules sa AFF Suzuki Cup as stated by feindouno
