The number of participants for these camps will always increase.
Here's a youtube video of the Day 4 morning conditioning:

We were leading 2-0 in the first half and was leading 4-2. We just need some more composure for the entire game.

jobe,
Coach was experimenting with players. Don't look too much into the result.

Wonder who are the standouts so far in this camp. AFC Qualifiers is just around the corner. Waiting in anticipation on how coach Ernie forms his team. 15 players from the camp plus 10 homebase/original Malditas I suppose.

It's going to be an extreme difficult task in selecting the 15 girls from both the November and March camp. We saw tons of high quality players. I can only hope that the players based in the Philippines are training just as hard.

I have some assumptions in mind why coach Ernie is allotting 10 slots to those based in the Philippines. While I understand why he is doing this I still have questions regarding it. I still believe he should not be fixated with that number specially if there are players who may be left out but are better than those based locally. Unless he already assessed these 10 players are better fit to the team he is trying to form. It will be very interesting to pit the Malditas AFF lineup versus the best of the US camp. At the end of the day he has a job to do and that is to go as deep as possible in the qualifiers and hopefully grab a slot for the Women's World Cup in 2015.
I agree Sir Mark, choosing that 15 players will be a tough task for coach Ernie. Whether he sticks to 15 players remains to be seen. Perhaps the team will have a few practices in the country before heading to qualifiers. Best of luck to Coach Ernie and I hope he forms the best team possible able to do the job.

The Malditas don't have the funding to fly in all the best available players. Malditas often have to pay for their own expenses after all the PFF funds have been spent elsewhere. Also the politics would not allow an all foreign based team. There are at least two fil-for Malditas working and studying in Manila who would be included in the 10 local players.

Thanks for these updates! I'm looking forward to the AFC Qualifiers. It's too bad they don't have someone to foot the travel and lodging expenses. I agree with Kangaroo, Coach Ernie should be looking for the best players regardless of where they are based... however, I do understand if budget is an issue.

PH Malditas aim for 2015 World CupBy Steve Angeles, ABS-CBN News North America CORONA, California – The Philippine women’s national football team returned to California for one last tune-up before kicking of their campaign in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) tournament. The Philippine Malditas drew with professional women’s soccer team Los Angeles Vikings, 4-4, in a scrimmage held during the Easter weekend. “I just asked a few other players to come back, so I can see them again and the rest of the new players to come in. They did a pretty good job,” said Malditas coach Ernie Nierras. Since last year, the Malditas have been traveling to the United States to look for players with Filipino descent in the high school, college and professional ranks and invite them to join the national team. Among their recruits is former professional women’s player Jenny Hammond, whose grandmother is Filipino. “it’s an exciting opportunity... to go to the World Cup in Canada, and this is just the beginning of our journey,” said Hammond, who was scouted by the Malditas last November, when they won the Vikings Cup. “We have to qualify at the AFC qualifiers and we have a lot of preparation until then, so I’m looking forward to going to the Philippines for camp,” she added. The team will play in Bangladesh this May for a chance to qualify in the 2015 World Cup, which takes place in Canada. Nierras currently has dozens of girls that he will continue to evaluate and work with in the Philippines in the coming weeks as they gear up for the AFC qualifiers. The Malditas are currently ranked 83rd in the world, and the team’s members are excited for a chance to make history as they aim to be the first Philippine team to qualify for the World Cup. “My expectations are high,” Nierras said. “We expect to go to the next round to the finals, wherein out of the eight teams, five will go to the World Cup.” “My expectation is to top this group in Bangladesh, then go from there,” he added. www.abs-cbnnews.com/sports/04/02/13/ph-malditas-aim-2015-world-cup
