Schrock on his post on Instagram: schroecky17 Nice Rest this afternoon! Hope my hamstring injury will recover faster Then fast for the semi final vs maledives #azkals #azkals17 #azkalsdiary #afcchallengecup2014 #missinmyfamaly #martinsteuble #mybrotherfromanothermother
I think it's one reason why he is subbed out at 63rd minute in TKM game. Will Dooley gamble resting Shrock & Doctora until very much needed? Putting OJ & Reichelt at start? My starting 11 in case they cannot start: Muller Rota Gier Lucena Sato JYH JDJ Steuble Mulders PYH Reichelt Hopefully nothing serious and wishing fast recovery for all injured players, not only for Azkals team but also for all other teams especially AFG players.

jonny posted this on his blog: Dennis Cagara tweet half an hour ago :" Going back Home to Denmark to help my club getting premoted to the best League! But i'm sure the guys will win the AFC Challenge cup! " Lyngby has fixtures on 5/29, 6/1, 6/9 Looks like Sato has to carry the load at left back from now on. Frankly it is probably not good for his image in Denmark that he is only a backup for the Philippines national team to a 19 y/o player lacking European club experience. I guess Cagara felt slighted by snub of Dooley leaving him out in starting unit. How on earth a former regular of Denmark youth teams and a Bundesliga player has been out of favour in lieu of young Sato? Do figure it out... Saying so, I hope Cagara can still make himself available in the future... And I hope Dooley make sure will justify his selections of players.

I think it's one reason why he is subbed out at 63rd minute in TKM game. So it's still query whether Schrocky will play or not in semi-finals. Will be praying for his speedy recuperation the same to other injured Azkals like Juani and Neil.

Leaving Azkals in the thick of battle may have some underlying story that doesn't bode well with both Cagara and Dooley. . . Well, it's only me but it's free to speculate...

So, without players like Etheridge, Juani and Schrocky who may not no longer available in succeeding matches and the plight of Cagara I expect challenging tasks ahead.

With the home crowd supporting and their side intact, the Maldives team will be very difficult to beat.

I think Schrock is still going to play although he is probably not 100 %. He is not as dynamic as he was in the first game against Afghanistan when he was taking on 3 defenders at a time and coming away with the ball, but his presence alone will distract the opposing team and allow space for other players to be more effective.

I hope the Azkals will not commit blunders as I expect the referees and officials will most probably favour the host team.

With Dooley's questionable selection of players, I am hoping Muller will save the day again for us. . . With the amount of chances the Turkmens in the last game, it clearly showed there's gaps in defence that Amani failed to cover. If not for brilliant performance of Muller, the result could have been the opposite.

I don't understand the criticism of Dooley's selection of players when they are winning and have advanced. Obviously, his plan is working. I'm just sayin'. Am I missing something or do we know better all of a sudden?

Damned if you do, damned if you dont I guess. First he was being praised giving experience to inexperienced. Now he is being criticized for starting the inexperienced. FHL!!

No, I think all is well when it comes to Cagara. Sounds more to me like he made himself available, injury and all, in case he was needed, as long as he had no league matches. Had Patiño played I would have expected him to leave at this point too due to club duties.

And it was mentioned even before the tournament start that he will have club duties during this date, so there are possibilities that he wouldnt be available for the semis and the finals. Man, i just hate it when forumers here assume of conflict with the coach. It just gives players bad impression from fans even if its not true. Most importantly now that there are a lot of people, common fans reading comments in this forum.

First of all I never mentioned that Cagara felt slighted or that there was some kind of conflict with Dooley. What I said was his employer or any future employer might question why he is not starting on the Philippine national team and a 19 y/o player with no European experience is, when they might need him there to help their club get promoted.
After all he asked permission from his coach to leave in the middle of their promotion drive, and I presume the coach would expect him to be used in an important capacity in the Challenge Cup to help them reach the Asian Cup which is very important to his player. If I were the coach of his club, I would be a little upset that he isn't being used, as I would prefer having him in my club to help my team achieves its objective which is to reach the top tier.
Thailand's Buriram United solved this problem by not releasing Patino. Remember that Cagara's club was under no obligation to release Dennis. This tournament is not on a FIFA match date. Cagara's club was nice enough to lend him to us despite the fact that they are in the middle of a promotion drive. Since Dennis is not being used, as the coach I would want him back. And Dennis probably felt obligated to go back for this critical juncture in their promotion drive especially since he probably thinks there is adequate cover for him at left back with the Azkals in Sato and he is confident that they can win the Challenge Cup without him which he stated in his tweet.
His club Lyngby drew 1-1 today against Hobro. Top two will be promoted , Lyngby is third , 4 points behind with three matches left.
