A few months ago, the General(?) who oversees the AF team was interviewed and said that they ARE allowed and have funds for none AF personnel. But with that, I still think that they are resistant to change. Like I mentioned earlier, virtually all their players are from 1 province. Its a good talking point on TV, but what about that Airman First Class from Pangasinan or Laguna, how is he going to tryout or get in the team when virtually all the players and coaches would rather look to their home town of Barotac Nuevo only or speak their particular dialect? There will be no change until the AFP teams hug the bottom of the 2nd Division. There is a player, To-nog or Tonog I believe, he's 42 and a starter for the team! Resistant to change. I like the idea of a unified AFP team with one major change. A professional coach who will play players by merit not by province. He mustn't be an AFP personnel. ...I guess they would like to keep on playing for as long as they can. Given the strong camaraderie that exists within the these teams, I think sentimental reasons factor just as much in terms of player selection. This reason is exactly why they are headed for irrelevance in the UFL 1st Division. i guess the AFP clubs value seniority. higher ranked players get to play as starters while lower ranked players sit on the bench.

From @lounell: A UFL streamer posted in the launch of TV5 North America in San Francisco a few days ago. From what I heard, the UFL will finally be broadcast in North America via AksyonTV International on Dish Network!

FT: Pasargad 6 - Navy 0.
Implications: Army and Air Force each just needs one point (or a Navy loss) to ensure retention. For Green Archers, they need four points.

did he sign a contract? or just like Juani's case, he can go back to Europe anytime? Christiaens will also play for Global next season. i was hoping to see Wolf wearing Kaya jersey, but the important thing is he is in the UFL and there's no problem for us to get him play in our NT

For Jeff, there is still no clarity with regards to his status with Torhout. It is noted that he is in the Global roster for a while now.

Looks like most Azkal players came from Global FC. With the addition of Wolf, Global might be Azkals "Team B" ;D
Well this is good for Azkals as players won't have difficulty to call up for national duty.

Younghusbands back as Loyola battles NavyBy Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer 12:13 am | Saturday, June 16th, 2012 NATIONAL team standouts Phil and James Younghusband return to club duties today when the Loyola Meralco Sparks battle Navy Red Juice at the resumption of the United Football League. The Younghusband brothers, who played two matches for the Azkals during the international break over the past week, will be at the forefront of the Sparks’ attack in the 4 p.m. clash at Rizal Memorial Stadium. A win by the Sparks will push them to second spot, a point behind Kaya which has a game in hand. They have four games left, including a duel with Global, which they would need to sweep to bag the title. Similarly, Global, which rallied from 1-3 down to beat Guam national team, 5-3, Thursday night in an exhibition match at the same venue, needs to sweep its last three matches to claim the title. Army and Green Archers collide in the first game at 2 p.m. with both teams trying to avoid a relegation battle with Navy. With a win, Archers will leapfrog past Army at eighth spot and be out of danger. With 10 goals under his name, Archers striker Floriano Pasilan will be a marked man against Army, which is hoping to avenge a 0-2 loss to Archers in the first round. Army will retain its spot in the first division next season with a win over Archers. sports.inquirer.net/48791/younghusbands-back-as-loyola-battles-navy

end of 1st half, Loyola 4 Navy 0. poor officiating by the ref's, controversial penalty that lead the 1st goal for Loyola. second one was when the Navy goalie was out from his line, should have been their ball but Dorlas throw the ball in passing it to Phil and then to Mark Hartmann for an open goal. Phil already scored a hat-rick in the 1st half alone
