The UFL perpetual trophy has now arrived in the Philippines. Looks like World Cup-ish to me.

The UFL perpetual trophy has now arrived in the Philippines. Looks like World Cup-ish to me. Looks great, worthy of being a C Cup... and I mean, a Champion's Cup! lest I be misconstrued

HT: Loyola 0-0 Global
Pressure from both sides but couldn't capitalize. But this might just what Global needs.

Now that their win's settled, Global must re-group themselves as they are now qualified for the 2013 AFC President's Cup should the Philippines be allowed to participate. I do hope they would find more Filipino players who will be willing to improve the squad as the UFL transitions to follow FIFA & AFC standards. I would like to see them play neighboring Asian clubs next year (if ever), and I'm so happy for them for this win.

Congrats to Global FC. Indeed a well deserved win though I was a bit disappointed with the time wasting towards end. I guess Etoundi reminds me somewhat of IND GK Markus' antics during the recent friendly with the Azkals. ;D

Sakit sa mata nung orange jerseys versus red jerseys. Lalo na kapag sa TV.
I still wonder why Cuaresma went out to Izo when there are still Loyola defenders nearby. Kaya players have to blame him hehehe.
Naku ha, yung Global GK bumabagsak mag-isa hahahaha. Oh well, time-wasting is done all over the world.
Congrats Global! And to Carli for winning the best player award.

looking forward to see Global competing against our neighboring football clubs should they be allowed to play in next year's president's cup, also excited to see their new players wearing Global jersey, particularly Christiaens and Wolf

Global pip Kaya to 2011/12 UFL titleA 1-1 draw with Loyola Meralco Sparks on Tuesday was enough for Global to pip Kaya to the 2012 United Football League title on goal difference.By ESPNSTAR.com staff After Kaya's 1-0 win over Stallion Gilligan's earlier in the day, Global headed into their match against the Sparks a point behind their title rivals, but aware that anything more than a draw would be enough for them to be crowned champions due to their superior goal difference. Following a goalless first half which saw both sides struggle to make the most of their chances, Global went ahead in the 65th minute when Izzeldin Elhabbib continued his recent run of good form when he scored with a looping header. Nonetheless, Byeong Yeong-jeol equalised for Loyola 11 minutes later to set up a tense ending to the match, although Global eventually held on to claim their first title in Philippines' top flight. It was also a disappointing way for Kaya to end their campaign, especially after they moved top of the table earlier in the afternoon with their victory over Stallion, which came courtesy of Nate Burkey's 43rd-minute strike. Loyola, who briefly looked a good chance for the title, will end the season in third while, Stallion are nine points behind in fourth with a game still to play.
