Tanungin mo CFA at FC Inter Cebu na Paul Weiler claimed he was a founding member and business representative Umangat na nga di ba tinalo namin kayo ng 6-1 sa Under-13? Now tingnan natin if kaya na namin ang Under-23 ninyo. wla naman kasi may nakita si paul weiler sa cebu na magaling. sa europe na lng sya tumulong sa PFF. sa PFF na lang sya dumiritso. nakita mo lng sinisiraan si paul weilar malaki ang tulong nya sa PFF mag scout abroad paano maka tulong sa Cebu inaaway nyo at sinisiraan. saan ngayon si paul? e naka ngita sa inyo. hahaha

the wvraa champion iloilo team is quite strong. they were not allowed to join the recently concluded stallion football fest for surely, the other teams would play for second place. but they'll be playing at the upcoming pff-milo football caravan this coming thursday. some ncr based teams will join the tournament.

I noticed the natural rivalries between cities and regions in this thread. We should really take advantage of this by setting up a truly national professional premier league that can take advantage of this rivalries to promote the sport in our country and that we can pattern on what we see in Spain(Real Madrid and Barcelona) and England(Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea). Manila because of its larger population base can have several teams and because all regions are represented in Manila will give this regions a natural away fan base in the capital. even in the MBA days, whenever Cebu Gems plays the Manila MetroStars in their homecourt(i think it was Ultra), it feels like a homecourt to the Cebu Gems. Lots of Cebu Gems fans attend their games. Exactly. If we can set up the Philippine Premier League in this format, we wouldn't have to worry about filling up stadiums like the UFL does today. The names of the teams should be based on cities and tradition and not just on companies. The companies by sponsoring teams should be able to place their names on signage, jersies, and even future stadiums. That is how football is set up elsewhere where they are profitable and not on the commercial league model that the PBA and UFL represents. As Vimjonk cited above Manila teams who don't have a following yet can still fill up their stadiums with away fans who are based in Metro Manila which you cannot get with the commercial model.

;Di agree with you akosiabab, na ganun kasikat ang football sa barotac nuevo, pero ang gusto klang itanong how come after 20 yrs. na i still can't see anyone from barotac nuevo that can approximate elmer bedia's skill, i mean try to comp[are ian araneta, yanti bersales from him malayong malayo bro.sa totoo lang ;D hindi ko na din yan pre massabi. mahirap sagutin yan. pero sa ngayon they say medyo naapektuhan ang football because of politics. alam mo ba pre madami pa dun na mas magaling pa kay chippy or ian kaso hndi lng nabigyan ng magandang break. madaming players dun maling kaso kaunti lng naghahanap na schools ng football players or sasali sa airforce team or army. yan kasi ang dream ng mga tao dun they play football para makaahon sa hirap. sa ngayon tambay cla or pedicab driver, adik, pusher, barker, vendor, fish vendor. sa ngayon kudos to STALLION F.C barotac nuevo based football club joining UFL ;Dkaya nga that's what i'm talking about, marami pa talagang mas magaling keysa kila ian & chippy according to you, kaya nga i myself does'nt believe na sila na ang pinakamagaling, sa bibig mo na rin nanggaling yung tungkol sa politics, then just why are you reacting against sa mga threads na ng-cricitize sa kanila(ian & chippy)? ;D

Yes I already outlined this in Filipino football in December which resulted in a thread that was very long. The national league would not just be based in Manila but nationwide with cities sponsoring teams by helping them build stadiums. This is just like the MBA model that threatened the supremacy of the PBA at one time. I think with this concept, you could easily fill up stadiums and fans will travel to watch their teams play in other cities. Manila based teams can fill up their stadiums not only based on their fans but also on the Manila based regional support that is inherent in the NCR.

ababjust watch the PFF U23 qualifiers this April 15 to 19 and lets see if what you're blabbing about is still correct. if Cebu wins, then it would mean that the project is a resounding success. Some of players in the Cebu U-23 are the pioneers of the grassroots projects(M. Lhuiller Under-7s) started on the late 90s. BTW: Paul Weiler is just like you, a poseur who claims what he doesn't understand. P. Weiler is a con-man but the CFA is not falling thru his antics. Only the PFF acknowledge him, but gladly the current administration of the PFF already kicked his bu*t. all three teams iloilo, negros occ., and cebu deserve a spot in the national tournament...yun nga lang isa ang dapat maiwan...majority of the players of iloilo are members of that defunct national training center and all of them are part iloilo's palarong pambansa champs from 2005-2009. Negros occ is also no push-over they are so dominating on the college level..maybe they can carry it on this u-23 tourney.. on topic: Don't forget NORFA! hehehe we'll win it bro. HAHA! ;D

Off-Topic: Yes it was one of the best rivalries in Philippine Sports. John Feriols and DonDon Hontiveros.
