I think Sandro is still in Barcelona based on his IG posts, but not with FCB. He's still playing, with a local club in Barcelona. Not sure with the name of the club.

He last posted about his awesome free kick that went in. kid has skills, no doubt, any chance of him playing for our boys under-15/16?

Sandro Reyes, the young Filipino booter who was given a five-year scholarship in the training academy of FC Barcelona, might try out for the team, according to the PFF head. “Some players that are playing in Europe like Sandro Reyes will be going for a tryout for the team in July. We’ll give them a chance to tryout for the team after the preparation in China,” Araneta said. www.manilatimes.net/pff-send-u16-boys-china-training-camp/325002/

Looks like he'll play for Phil U15 in AFF U15 tourney in Thailand. First game against Malaysia. I think one of his teammates in U15 is also playing for a youth team in Barcelona.

I presume that he has been able to obtain Spanish citizenship(citizens from Spanish colonies are allowed to apply for citizenship after 3 years of residency) allowing him to continue playing in Spain despite being under 18. FC Barcelona had to let go of all their foreign born non Spanish players a few years ago because of this U-18 FIFA rule.

In the AFF U15 Championship, the PI U15 team was 10th. position in a field of 12 countries, with -11 GD. Considering the team's performance, I would be worried for him to be injured with such a small body. It is NOT WORTH THE RISK.
Because of his football potentials and current accomplishments, he has to have a better coach and hopefully better teammates.

I agree with allenusa, the PFF youth team is not properly managed by the PFF with BAD coaching and POOR replenishment of good talent. I have heard a number of complaints on cronyism and corruption in pool selections and tryouts due to rich powerful families getting their way. It is a shame for talented players like Sandro to risk a lot for such a bad enterprise.

My concern about coaching is the critical age from U12-U15, since we all know that habits were developed at an early age and it is very difficult to change when one gets old. Bad coaching will develop bad habits.
This what I am afraid of. Sandro is U15, it is really important that he gets the best coaching, specially in highly competitive situations, like major tournaments when decision making in the pitch is critical.
Making the right decisions in pitch is very critical to his development, not just running and passing the ball. Here, only a very experienced coach could teach this, and I do not believe that "Chieffy" has enough experience for this responsibility. This is not learned in coaching classes, reading books or playing soccer (he started career in 2002). In most cases it is soccer instincts, some people got it, and some people don't.
He maybe athletic enough to perform soccer related physical functions but good decision making makes an exceptional soccer player. Also, the number one virtue of an exceptional player is CONFIDENCE, specially a forward. How can a young player develop good confidence when his team is beaten BADLY in a major tournament.
