I think our game with MAS has a high chance of probability since they're the one inviting us. Well it's like reaching the finals of AFF Suzuki Cup but only a mock match hehehe. I think this is the 2nd leg or our 1st match here last Feb 29. It's good for us since they're the reigning champions and by the way, June 1 is in FIFA match dates so PHI will have a full team there. Expect the true strength of Azkals
For China I think there will be difficulty since there is recent tension regarding the Scarborough Shoal but I'm optimistic that this game will push through and hoping the two countries will settle this peacefully.

Azkals battle tough Malaysians in friendlyBy Olmin Leyba (The Philippine Star) Updated April 13, 2012 12:00 AM Comments (2) View comments MANILA, Philippines - Reigning AFF Suzuki Cup champion Malaysia looms as the first side that will test the mettle of the Philippine Azkals following the Pinoys’ historic bronze medal showing in the AFC Challenge Cup. “Malaysia has invited us to play a friendly in Kuala Lumpur on June 1 and more or less, we’ll (accept the invite and) go there,” Philippine Football Federation (PFF president) Nonong Araneta told The STAR yesterday. “I’ve had initial talks with (Azkals team manager) Dan (Palami) and he’s okay with this,” he added of what could be a rematch of the international friendly that two nations played at the Rizal Memorial last Feb. 29. The Azkals and the Tigers battled to a 1-1 standoff two months ago. The prospective gig could provide a good opening salvo and test for the Azkals as they get back to the pitch after breaking camp following their milestone campaign in the Nepal Challenge Cup. Enjoying an all-time best position in the Fifa world rankings at 148th, the Azkals will now train their sights on the Suzuki Cup set later in the year and their idea of a buildup opener is to challenge ASEAN rivals, led by 156th-ranked Malaysia Tigers, during Fifa’s June calendar days. The PFF has a standing invitation to Indonesia and Thailand for possible matches on June 5 and 12 in Phl. “I’ll be talking further to officials of Indonesia and Thailand when they go here for the AFC Council meeting on April 21 and 22 (to persuade them),” Araneta said. China has also been invited to come over but has yet to respond, according to the PFF chief. Araneta, meanwhile, said PFF’s technical people will go to Bacolod City after the AFC gab to assess Panaad Stadium’s capability to host one of the projected friendlies. “We might hold the June 5 match to Bacolod. We’ll send people to make an assessment and we’ll also require numbered seats,” he said. Panaad was the home field when the Azkals beat Mongolia last year, 2-0, in the first leg of the AFC Challenge Cup playoffs. The stadium was packed with 18,000 paying fans but for the Azkals’ projected return, only about 10,400 “seated” spectators will be accommodated, according to Araneta. www.philstar.com/SportsArticle.aspx?articleId=796505&publicationSubCategoryId=69&keyword=sp_football
- If IDN and THA accepted and game is on June 5 and 12? When will we battle CHN? CHN still not yet responding. I think the issue of Scarborough Shoal has with this. Hope not.
- Panaad's capacity is only 10400 if it is in FIFA standards.
- Does VIE accepted the invitation? By the way, did we invited them?
- MAS will be the first to taste the Azkals FULL TEAM line up

Tough friendlies in store for AzkalsSEEKING to improve further their world ranking, the Philippine Azkals are bracing for tough friendlies against Southeast Asian powers in June. “Mga kalaban natin sa AFF Suzuki Cup ang naka-schedule. Puro liga ang mayroon sa Asia right now, kaya wala pa tayong friendlies until next month,” said Philippine Football Federation president Mariano ‘Nonong’ Araneta. The Azkals have an invitation to play against reigning Southeast Asian Games champion Malaysia on June 1 in Kuala Lumpur. The PFF has invited Thailand to play for a home friendly on Independence Day and has lined up a match with defending Suzuki Cup titlist Indonesia. In the new FIFA world rankings released on Wednesday, the Philippines reached new heights by placing No. 148, the third-best among Southeast Asian nations. Boosted by its breakthrough third place finish in the AFC Challenge Cup last month, the Filipinos ranked higher than the Indonesians (No. 151) and Malaysians (No. 156). The Philippines won three matches and lost two in the Challenge Cup and battled to a draw with Malaysia at home last February. “I’m happy dahil tuluy-tuloy na ang laro ng Azkals. Lalo na silang mabibigyan ng suporta,” said Araneta. It is crucial for the Philippines, which has improved in the last two years, to keep on playing to keep at par with the Southeast Asian heavyweights. “More matches for the Azkals. That’s what we are looking forward for,” said Araneta. Only Vietnam (No. 97) and Thailand (No. 141) are placed higher than the Philippines in the FIFA rankings. On the grassroots level, the PFF top honcho is satisfied by the support given by private groups, like fastening products maker YKK, which will launch a football clinic today at the Alabang Country Club. The football association started the ball rolling by reviving the ‘Kasibulan’ project last month. “Happy tayo kasi naging beneficiary ang Philippines. Hindi lang iyon, Real Madrid ang dinala na mga coaches, from their youth academy. From their academy, yun ang mga players na pumupunta sa professionals, doon tayo may matututunan sa kanila,” said Araneta. Among those Real Madrid coaches that will take part of the clinic, which YKK will bring to the Philippines for the first time, are Jaime Torcal Cano, Ivan Garcia Sacristan and Pablo Gomez Revenga. www.journal.com.ph/index.php/sports/27892-tough-friendlies-in-store-for-azkals

Azkals host Indonesia in ‘friendly’By Cedelf P. Tupas Philippine Daily Inquirer 10:41 pm | Monday, April 16th, 2012 STEPPING up its buildup for the Suzuki Cup late this year, the Philippines will host Indonesia in an international friendly on June 5 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Philippine Football Federation president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta said Indonesia has already confirmed the match even as the PFF awaits confirmation from Thailand for a clash on June 12, also in Manila. “It’s a good chance for us to test our strength against a strong team in Southeast Asia,” Araneta said of the clash against Indonesia, which will mark the first time the two sides will meet since the semifinals of the 2010 Suzuki Cup. The Azkals could have the best lineup possible for the match against the 2010 Suzuki Cup losing finalists as the date falls on the Fifa calendar when clubs are inclined to release players for national team duty. The Indonesians beat the Azkals via 1-0 scorelines in the two-leg semifinals that were played at the cauldron-like Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. The Philippines did not have a suitable venue for the Azkals’ home leg. Two matches have already been confirmed for the Philippines in June with the Azkals also facing Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on June 1. The PFF has also slated a schedule for the Azkals on June 8 possibly against Hong Kong in Bacolod City. sports.inquirer.net/40523/azkals-host-indonesia-in-%E2%80%98friendly%E2%80%99
By the way, What happens to PSSI issue? Is it settled or got worse? June 15 is the deadline

Azkals to resume training action on April 242012-04-17 00:17:38 In preparation for the upcoming international friendlies this June, the team will start training on April 24. Team coordinator Ace Bright said that training will be twice a day during Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Morning session will start from 6am to 8am at BGC Turf while afternoon training will be from 4pm to 6pm at a venue that is still to be announced. Azkals will also have a training camp in Tagaytay from May 20-29 before leaving on May 30 for a friendly match with Malaysia on June 1. They are scheduled to return on June 2 to play against Indonesia (June 5) and China U23 (June 12). www.azkalsfootballteam.com/news.php?id=157
So final CHN U-23 will be our enemy? Will this affect our rankings? or not? I hope it counts so our rankings will increase if we win. Some circumstances than a senior and an U-23 games is a FIFA ranking match. CHN U-23 is now on Azkals Official Website list of our opponents
