What Carli thinks about Roland and vise versa, from a Lexton Moy tweet: Best Quote! Carli: German's (Muller) speak like he has bread in the mouth. Muller: Spanish (Carli) speak with out breaks, like machine gun!
they're were bored at the airport in HK waiting for connecting flight...

Lots of chatter on that forum regarding Lexton Moy's eligibility. They apparently have an immigration authority posting as well, who seems to shrug and say that HK foreign affairs is far too busy to worry about such things. www.goalgoalgoal.com/thread-303160-1-1.html

Tweet from Aly Borromeo (4 hrs ago): We got 3 Spaniards, 2 Germans, 4 British, 2 Americans & 2 full Pinoys.. good enough for an international 7 aside team! Finally at Kaohsiung.
Finally his batch is now in Kaohsiung. He also tweeted that they'll be practicing there tonight.

BTW I also google translated that forum. Somebody keeps on mentioning he misses package wonton so mcuh. Is that Lexton Moy? That translation is hilarious. Do you mean this text: "I MISS 包雲吞 SO MUCH." The phrase "包雲吞" is a term for fried stuffed wonton wrappings. I don't know if he means the actual thing (is he hungry?) or is this an endearment for someone else? (Lexton Moy?) Anyways, one forum member posted a question that asks if everyone in the forum would agree that the strength of the Philippine team so far is slightly better than what they had during the 2010 Suzuki Cup. One member agrees to that. Maybe he is referring to Lexton Moy as being of Chinese heritage, but who is darker skinned than most Chinese.

Jason de Jong's next game schedule is Oct 3 then Oct 17. He has received 2 yellow cards consecutively but I don't know if that warrants a game suspension for a youth league. He has started 2 consecutive games and should be match fit if he does get to join the Azkals. No other info I can dig up. Anyone else have anything on de Jong? It'd be a better team with him on the pitch I think.

Info on the first match from jonny's website filipinofootball(I have modified jonny's 26 man roster to reflect the final 20 players selected): First match in Taiwan on Friday : Philippines vs Hong Kong . 4.30 pm in Kaohsiung Hong Kong Team 20 man roster GK: Tse Tak-Him (Citizen), Yapp Hung-Fai (South China), Leung Hing-Kit. DF: Chak Ting-Fung (Biu Chun Rangers), Shum Kwok-Fai (Citizen), Ng Wai-Chao, Chan Wai-Ho, Lee Chi-Ho, Wong Chin-Hung (all South China). MF: So Loi-Keung (Citizen), Lo Kwan-Yee (Kitchee), Leung Chun-Pong, Kwok Kin-Pong (all South China), Lee Hong-Lim (TSW Pegasus), Lee Hang-Hui. FW: Shum Kwok-Keung (Citizen), Chan Siu-Ki, Lee Wai-Lim, Au Yeung Yiu-Chung, Cheng Lai-Hin (all South China). Hong Kong U23 beat Philippines 4-2 in 2010 Long Teng Cup. Hong Kong matches in 2011 : 9. Feb : Malaysia 2-0 Hong Kong (friendly) 3. June : Hong Kong 1-1 Malaysia (friendly) 23. July : Saudi Arabia 3-0 Hong Kong (World Cup qualifier) 28. July : Hong Kong 0-5 Saudi Arabia (World Cup qualifier) filipinofootball.blogspot.com/2011/09/friday-long-teng-cup-philippines-vs.htmlAs for their style of play, as mentioned in my previous post they are actively looking for a new coach and they currently have a caretaker coach Liu Chun-Fai whose style might have been different from previous coaches. From what I understand they have higher expectations this time around compared to last year as they are bringing their A team(minus the mainland Chinese players who converted to HK nationality, due to visa issues and were not given permission to travel to Taiwan) rather than the U-23 team they brought last year. Just like us, they are intent on improving their standing in the FIFA rankings so they brought their best possible team to accomplish this.

I'd like to see a win for our boys here, but i'd like for our newcomers to get some needed reps in the positions of need.
we still have no definitive left back (other than the guy in iceland) and minimal depth at center back. at least our attack options are decent with PYH, Chieffy and Mark.
In addition, i'd like to see some of those in the scouting thread moved into the profile thread officially.
